That's a Guard unit in Nashville and its close to the interstate. I've driven by it several times. Getting around will be easy, not sure how the personnel will treat you though, I have seen staff there every time I've driven by so odds are you'll be good to go. There's a nice new indoor gun...
Is that an chevy "Avalanche" LOL. Had the grill of my Toyota busted out by an improper tow strap, enough force to break ribs and we were pulling relatively light trucks out.
Fortunately we weren't in a hurry, and i got to drive across a part of the country I had never seen. I always enjoy seeing new parts of this beautiful land we call America.
My truck is a hard top, so for me the worst part was the noise level in the soft top. ear plugs were barley enough...
I helped a friend join the addiction this week by helping him recover his recent GL win, a 1985 M929. Since I have a CDL and a M923 he decided I would be an asset to have along for the trip. Which translates to, "I was there to drive."
Murfreesboro, TN to Fort Polk Louisiana and back in...
I'm pretty sure this is why my truck has a lock out on Reverse while the T-case is in Low.
Soldier A decided he needed to get unstuck by rocking the truck back and forth in Low, truck tires bite in and Pop goes the weasel.
On a serious note, unless I'm loaded down, my truck will spin the...
Unless its summer I have to hit a grade to warm up my M923A1 and I'm in TN. If its above say 45 degrees out I would expect the engine temp to clear 150 degrees after 20 or 30 minutes or a steep grade. As mentioned grab a laser temp gauge and double check, if its reaching 180 then there's no...
I found a nice 923 from GL for $5400 out the door plus the drive home. I noticed a desert tan truck without super singles it had the NHC-250 motor sold for $4700 in less than a day on here. I'd say your in the ball park if the truck is mechanically sound I'd go for it.
Another perspective...
I used both seal and sealant.
If you use just sealant, please let me know by posting your thoughts. I would consider that on the back axels if it proves a success. The parts are so heavy so I do not want to have to do it again anytime soon and would consider just sealant if proves it will...
I recently did my front passenger side axel seal. Memphis Equipment company has the seals you needs I can't remember what I paid but its wasn't much maybe $25. If the leak is slow Moretoys can get away with driving it home by monitoring the leak. He's probably better off without the CTIS...
I should be available the 15th and 16th, there is a lot of rain in the forecast this week if you run into scheduling problems with your wingman send me a PM. I've got a CDL and don't mind a little adventure.
My M923A1 has approximately 25000 miles and 700 hours. Seems inline with what I see on GL about 30-35MPH avg. for 900 series cargo trucks. If its out of this norm them I begin to wonder if the engine was replaced, gauge replaced or something else. Other more experienced members could better...
All look to be same size 14R20, the tread pattern on the rears do create the illusion of looking smaller but I doubt they are. The next tire size up is 4 inches taller so it would be very obvious if it were the 16R20.
I'm pretty sure it's the outer lugs on the xl's because they alternate...
Sorry Papabear, I was using tapatalk and the "Bear" in the first reply had a smily face and said apabear. I though that comment was yours. Now that I'm on the computer I can see that it belongs to Derrick112. And that is how PapaBear was mistakenly envolved, thats my story and I'm stickin to it.
