I just got my Kats freeze plug block heater today from Kragen for 12 bucks. The instructions are very poor. I was wondering which freeze plug to remove. I hope somebody has a trick to remove the hidden 20+ year plugs that will be frozen to the block. Any ideas/ pics
I just have to figure out how to get all three in my M1028. They are on pallets so I might have to bring a hoist. I wonder what they weigh. I think my old 1.5ton springs should be enough to handle three of them with some major sag. I knew I should of bought the M1028a2 or a3 for this job.
These are from the HMMWV and I was wondering what would be involved to make them fit in a CUCV. Would my parts from my old engine bolt on I noticed the intake/ oil filter angle are different. Also the intake manifold. Are these computer controled? Is it worth the hassle? ThX in advance
What is the normal Temperature range of a healthy CUCV (with the heavy duty cooling system). I plan on putting a gauge in for this summer. I want to know when to get concearned (Im sure if the light goes on it too late). ThX
I went down to Napa today and they said I was SOL and tried to sell me a rebuild for $214. My Hydraboost works good minus a very small leak inside the cab.
My hydroboost is leaking down the floorboard and I dont want to spend 200 on a rebuild. Where can I get a seal kit and what is the part #. I cant see it being that hard to replace the seals. The GM dealer here said it obsolete. I have searched napa and kragen online and I cant find it.
