    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

I jack the one wheel up put it in mode and one wheel spins (rear). Put it in first and it will drive off the jack no problem. I know it’s a little different?? I will test pressure on c7 to verify what I think is happening.

    Transfer case help….M1078 2001

Hi everyone I’m again working on my Lmtv. The problem of the day is the transfer case doesn’t engage 50/50 when mode is selected. However it does when I select 1st gear. I checked the scavenging screen, looked real good. A few bits of plastics or gasket material. I am going to check c7...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

I don’t like that fix, I will be glad to send you another lock ring. The problem with the threads is that they are formed threads not cut. That makes them stronger and tighter more consistent. However they have a false start sometimes. If you engage the false start and continue it will...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

I would think all you would need to do to make the pac break more effective is to increase RPM. Like downshift, 2000 rpm with Eco hubs is the same as 2000 rpm with reduction. For the same road speed you will be in a different transmission gear. Flaps up or down ??

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

I don’t think Eco Hubs have any effect on the pack break at all. It’s the RPM the engine is operating at when the pack break is applied/used. More RPM more breaking power. Down shift the transmission to increase breaking effectiveness. Am I missing something?

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

The splined hubs are 4140 billet then machined then heat treated and tempered to. R54/56 then the splines are cut with a wire EDM to a tolerance of 20 to 30% tighter than stock .
