    Flat tire??

Spraying the tire with soapy water is not going to find the tune leak. The air coming out of the tube is only going to find the path of least resistance. It might help find a hole in your tire but the air can come out at the valve stem and the wheel at the lock ring. To find the leak in the...

    M101 Broken Shock Mount, Help!

If you don't have the means to do so, then I would take it to a machine shop and have them cut it off and fabricate a new one. It will be correct and should never give you any more trouble. A patch up job may work or it may not.

My HSTRU (M116A2) Camper & Overland Trailer

This makes me wonder what I should add into my contact maintenance trailer project. Nice build by the way.

    Secm trailer

I assume that is just a lense sitting there. You could get the buckets for flush mounting these lights into a Jeep Wrangler if you wanted to make it simple and go that route.

    M100 resto finally started

This weather has been nice the last few days. I've been working on a trailer project too. Looks good.

    Contact Maintenance Trailer

That's what I figured would be the case. Is the bed frame, that the mounting points are on, ran front to rear? Thanks for the quick response. Did you see my post about the tub on the other topic? I'm not going to need this tub. So if you are interested let me know and I can send you some pics.

    Contact Maintenance Trailer

Kenny, on the 887 body is there frame rails that run side to side that the bolts run through or front to rear? Trying to get my chassis ready and I want to go ahead and beef it up anywhere that may be needed. And I want to have the mount locations ready to go. I'd like to bolt it down with...

    Govplanet question

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'll try again and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

    Govplanet question

When I go to complete the section that allows you to bid there is a part that asks for bank and bank contact person. What do I need to put there, it's not like I have a personal banker? Are they calling to confirm you have an account or something?

    New 887 owner

I pulled my A1 body off yesterday..... I still wish I had another A3 chassis to put the 887 bed on instead of the A1. Unless something changes and I end up with an A3 chassis then the a1 bed will need a home.

    M416 Restoration in Progress

Nice trailer. Marines use undercoating on their stuff.

    Taillight mounting holes stripped out???

That's what I was thinking of doing. I saw a kit from Loctite that is for thread repair. I might try that if I can find the kit locally. It uses a two part material(epoxy?) and a thread releaser that you coat the bolt threads with. I watched part of a YouTube video of it. I'll try to get a...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - August VOTE HERE

I would like to see more of your truck CUCVLOVER. Try getting some better pics of it on here next time. I was interested in voting for the flatbed cucv but the pic was lacking for me. You were in my top 3. But for me the GTB had it. Just such a cool truck, RARE and it looks pretty complete.

    M100 resto finally started

You do have all three data plates. Don't know if they should be brass or not. Could be old reproduction plates. My old M100 had the hole in the frame for the recpticle but had the newer style wiring harness. And most of the M100s had the chains removed. There was a debate about the chains...

    M100 resto finally started

Found this: AFPEO/CM for Services Welcome to the Program Executive Office for Combat and Mission Support (PEO/CM) also known as PEO Services. Contract services are essential to sustaining and maintaining the Air Force mission. From a budget and acquisition standpoint, contract services are...

Maybe process date was a transfer from army to usaf, just a thought. There are so many possibilities you may never know.

    M100 resto finally started

The process date stencil would have been when the trailer was processed. I have seen several other trailers with similar markings. If it was an early enough M100, could it have been initially assigned a wwii style number? My M416 had yellow zinc chromate primer originally. Can't remember on...

These are the newer metal ones.

    Taillight mounting holes stripped out???

Has anyone been able to repair tail lights that have had the mounting holes stripped out? I have a nearly new light off my M101A3 that has been stripped out on one hole and the other is nearly gone. I'm not sure if a tap alone will be enough to repair this. My other thought is to JB Weld the...
