I'll have to look at the exact model of mine tomorrow. I think it's the 165i Hobart not a tigmate?. Anyway, I don't use it much as the new shop is 3 phase 208v and this is a 240v welder so it only gets used for stainless as this uses the inverter, not straight a/c voltage. I was skeptical...
I've never tried it on a duece, the bungie trick that is, but I would assume it should help and shouldn't do any major harm other than possibly some wear on the shift fork. We have helped quite a few people milk thier jumping out of gear outboard motors for many seasons is way.
If you can't find anything I'm certain I have or can get more than a few good used transfers and plenty of tools to lend a hand. I know we are aways away but it's not a bad drive.

Proof it's legal to sell to you? I wonder if he's needing proof for insurance that someone else now is in possession of it. I also make enough WMO and we are required too keep records of who and where it goes once we dispose of it... No receipt for the clean as I burn it, but the really dirty...
Awesome!!! Wish my grandparent were still alive, it would have been a good excuse to go visit them. They lived in Eustis for quite some time and the Ocala NF is a neat place. In a few of our roamings around we found a few dirt floor establishments way off the beaten path!
Thanks for the advise. My plan is to go out and do some more checking. I am going with the intentions of checking for hydro lock then fire it up to determine for sure the extent of damage and go from there. I checked on getting it towed and it's bad but not impossible as a last resort. Now if I...
Fairly familiar with most of the stuff. I haven't had mine for but 6 months but have been thru a lot of the systems already on mine just no major engine problems. See my last post for price and what it has/problems. It was too hot last night to dink with it but I'm going to try and check it out...
That is the problem, the price is probably ok if the engine is ok but I'm fairly new to this game and unsure. Lol. This truck has a good body w/hard top, winch with a broke left side, motor w/problems, 395's on factory wheels( didn't know that was possible) and lots of usable parts ie alt...
You know how it goes, only been driven to church on sunday. Guy says it let go in his driveway upon startup, he shut it down and that's where it sits. I plan on checking it out much more in-depth before spending any franklins on it, but other than checking for hydro lock, oil condition...
That's why I asked!!! Thanks Guys. I have plenty of bigger trucks to pull it with and a gas powered air compressor to hook up to the brake system. It would have been SO much easier to light it up and driver her home.
Best he could tell was compression leak at #6 cyl on the rear. I just keep thinking it almost has to have antifreeze in the oil and don't really want to grenade the engine if at all possible. I need to take jumpers out and check it out better.
thanks!
Looking to save a duece from the scrapers torch. Guy said it ran but the head gasket was blown. No antifreeze in the oil that I can tell. Wil have to go about 15 miles but can take it easy by going the back roads...would rather not tow it or pay to have it towed. Sorry if this has been asked...
