    TOWING A M146 w/ F250

I almost had a heart attack when I read the topic line. I was expecting to see somebody recovering an M146 with a pickup truck. I'm not saying that a pick up would not be capable of hauling that kind of weight, but it would not be safe. Unfortunately I know all too well from hauling some of our...

    Deuce Question

You are correct the socket is a 3" 8-point socket. I picked up mine at my local NAPA for about $30 IIRC. As far as cleaning off the gear lube I would say get a few cans of brake cleaner anf spray everything down really good, that should take it all off without leaving a residue.

    Strata Blue Deuce Pics?

Well guys thanks for the responses so far. I'm 99.9% sure it will be returning to it's original Strata Blue get up, but I still haven't been able to find any pics of a blue Deuce with markings and correct top. We need a "pulling your hair" out smilie for occasions like this.

    Strata Blue Deuce Pics?

My 53' was origionally a strata blue Air Force truck under the 5 layers of OD and CARC. I have been trying to decide what color scheme to repaint it recently. I have been leaning towards the 3 color CARC for ease of touch-ups down the road. I have started to repaint alot of the small parts as...

    Compressor Belt Tool Dimensions

Garandfan I have left all of my fancy measuring tools at my place of recent employment, so I can't give you definate measurements. However I do have a compressor wrench if you would like to see it to take measurements. I'm not too far away from you as these things go and being unemployed I have...

Roger JT has made a spin on kit for the primary filter along side all of his other wonderful spin on filter kits IIRC.

How do I replace fuel filters?

I think the parts on the shaft that you are missing are a way to space the smaller non reusable filters up towards the top of the canister. The filter you have (Reusable) is the full length of the can therefore you do not need the other parts.

    newbe wants your thoughts.

Stop out at the get together at jpcj-7's place this weekend and check out some of the trucks there. His house is in Shiloh and isn't too far from you.

    newbe wants your thoughts.

I'd say go for it, I was into the jeeping thing for a few years and loved it, but the MVs are so much better. I am also spending less money on maintaining my deuce than I did on my 72 CJ5. It is a little bit harder to find parts (you can't just run down the road and pick most of them up) but not...
