Found metal chips in oil, still runs great

Great detective work! For those of us less learned folks, what exactly are we looking at? I can't get my brain oriented- well, that's another story...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month - August VOTE HERE!

Looks awesome, Blue, so you got my vote this month. I'll be interested to see how your paint holds up. I used Rapco semi-gloss also, but it faded after about 3 months. Water spots really bad too- hope yours holds up better.

Painting entire undercarriage of a 925

I would go with Behr. I painted my deuce with Rapco semi-gloss, including undercarriage and it faded badly in just a few months. Cost was about the same when you factor in shipping for Rapco.

    Nasty Fuel System

I don't know what that crud is but it looks nasty! You can buy a new in-tank pump on that popular auction site for $50. I have one in my deuce and it works great. There are some threads on here about the pump. Personally I wouldn't waste my time cleaning that tank and I would be concerned about...

    Difference Between M35A2s?

They're all the same- no one manufacturer is better than another. Turbos were added later to reduce exhaust smoke but I don't know what year that started.

anyone have detailed pictures of Stencil placements

Sometimes you just have to look for pics of your type of truck, during the time period your trying to replicate. I found pics for mine here and by using google.

    Renting the Deuce

That looks like 6th Ave/Madison looking toward Bank One Ballpark.. Eh?

Toggle switch air tank drains possible?

The ones from Erik's require no switches and are currently $40 ea. I haven't used them but it beats having to wire in a switch.

    Hello from a new member

Welcome Frank- sorry for your loss. There is a good article addressing the issue at www.mvpa.org. To add to the suspense. The Az. DOT notified all third party registration processors that they could no longer register military vehicles- owners must go to a DMV office to do so. No problems...

    Renting the Deuce

Has anybody ever rented their MV for things OTHER than movies? Like a backdrop for photos for a wedding or some other event. A woman once asked me if I would chauffeur a bunch of her girlfriends around in the back of the deuce to go bar hopping- [insert appropriate fantasy here]. I said no- too...
