This is the relief valve Phil sent me. Screwed in fine with no thread work needed. It's tight, but there is enough room for the valve to pop open completely.

I had the same problem and sealing the threads of the m/c cap will not help. You need to put a thin washer under the cap. I think I used a thin copper washer from a hardware store. My leak was coming from where the bottom edge of the metal cap meets the m/c, just above the threads. Hope that...

The CARC definitely needs to be clean- free of dust and grease. I sanded my deuce down with 220 grit to remove the oxidized paint and to smooth the texture of the CARC so I could apply a semi-gloss finish. The paint needs to be kept in the temperature range specified on the can for at least...

Thanks Tom- Phil is sending me a grease vent which should fit. Nothing was there when I got the truck so it's been a mystery until now. Not being a mechanic, I had no idea such a thing existed.

Mine was seeping through the gasket. Took it off, cleaned everything up, cut my own gasket for a sheet of gasket material and put it back together. Very easy to do and no more seepage- from there anyway. :-)

Does that valve allow grease to escape or just air? Do you think an auto parts store would carry them? If it doesn't allow grease to escape, I agree with Rusty that it would be bad to install.
