Steel Soldiers MV of the month - November VOTE HERE!

Vote for M35A2-Az! He did a complete frame off restoration on that deuce!! Every nut & bolt is original or mil-spec. All mil-spec parts, nothing from Home Depot, etc. The paint is authentic for the selected time period- two coats of primer, two coats of paint professionally applied! Everyone...

    Feeler for M35A2 Hard Tops

I have read that galvanized steel is extremely difficult to paint. Almost all rattle cans state they are not for galvanized metal. Any paint experts familiar with this issue?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

It's been a while since I dealt with CB radios but I remember that antennas installed in the center of the vehicles roof always performed better. Installations like yours always suffered from interference from the mirror framework. Mounting to the side of the bed like the military does might...

    Highway speed

You can buy 3M "Reflexite" conspicuity tape in 2" x 18" strips for $2.49 from: www.uscargocontrol.com They have lots of similar items also. I have this tape on my deuce and it is much brighter and more reflective than the stuff I bought at the home center.

How are you going to set up the winch for loading? I'd be interested in pics when you get around to it- I need something similar. Mark

    1st M35A2 coming home in a week

Doesn't make any difference- they were all made to the same specs. (MilSpec) One is not better than the other. :-)

    1st M35A2 coming home in a week

Wow- nice looking deuce! Not sure what that color is, though. I thought one of the old timers would have mentioned this before, but be sure to download all the TM's (technical manuals) pertaining to the M35A2 from here or the Jatonka website. If you have already, most everything you could want...

Sudden shutdown (again) - Truck will not re-start

I can't really help but I think the experts are gonna have you check the HH. I've never messed with mine but you might wanna start reviewing threads on removing the HH and checking that "button" thing, etc. Good luck- keep us rookies informed how this turns out!

Hard Top Gaskets / Seals for Restoration Project

Try sending an email to Erik at Erik's Military- he's very good at taking care of that stuff. If he has it he will know without a part number.

    m35a2-a3 comparision

The A2 is easier and cheaper, parts wise to work on. The multifuel has no electrical system- except the starter but the truck can be bump- started. Most people can work on the manual tranny- I don't know about the automatic. You can add air-assist steering to the A2. M35tom has a full hydro...
