Glad to have you here! Yes we are picture junkies. By the way I live about 3 hours south of you in SC. Don't listen to plowboy he is just plain nuts!! :D Nawh he is good as gold!!
You need oil that is friendly with rubber and as I understand the air tool oil fits that bill. You don't need a ton of it. Maint manual called for removing the square headed plug on the back of the airpack and giving a squirt or two.
These are really noisy beasts to begin with. It sounds like a bunch of work to get rid of a small % of the noise that gets created. Go for it if you want to.
You might look to see if one of the U joints are frozen. They don't need to have play but do need to flex. I had a rear wheel drive car one time that would vibrate only at certain speeds. It had a frozen one. Those U joints you could not grease. Alan

What a gnarly looking clutch pedal set up. Another option I have heard of but not seen is taking a diesel engine and transmission from a panel bread delivery truck as the donor.
What's the name of that ceramic material?
I have used Lab Metal before and once it sets it acts just like metal. It takes time but I have sanded it down before.
Not sure how Lab Metal does with heat. Might look that up.
Rubber brake lines do go bad and it's not a bad idea to replace them. Just remember if you fine nice NOS lines they are just as old as these trucks. Find the place near you that builds hydraulic lines for equipment. They can build brake lined for you if you bring them a sample of each...
