The shifting in low is done by the same components in the front of the transmission as for high. Shifting to low engages the reduction unit in the rear of the transmission. So you may be okay.

You should be able to shift from low to high without the truck stopping. If you start out in High F1 does it shift normal through the gears?

Does your truck still have the lever you pull back on to make the starter work? On my M211 that lever pushes the rods underneath the cab to make the bendex go out to the ring gear. Then it also pushes on the switch for the power. Is your linkage from the lever free?

The Army Manual states to not tow the M135/M211 more than 5 miles without dropping the drive shafts or transmission damage will result. Sorry to say.
