a new idea for a 12 volt system

I agree... I just do not have any idea why the military put that 12V tap in there. In my deuce Fire truck I have several converters powering my 12 lights and sirens... I know that the truck came to me direct from the Government and it had that tap. Go figure...

a new idea for a 12 volt system

I was just replacing 2 of my 2007 batteries (original military depot stuff) that came direct from GL on my 818 at Redstone Arsenal and surpringsly there was a "non-Mil spec" wire going from the middle of the 4 batteries to a box in the fire wall. Looks like someone tried to use 12Volts for...

Flying Old Glory Proudly on 9-11

Guys, I actually had a neighbor comment that the flying of the flag on this commemorative day was inflammatory to some people. That some members of the sub-division felt discriminated against by its presense. My reply was... If flying our flag is inflamatory to someone in their group, then they...

OK a little help,,, pump and roll on a fire truck that does not really allow for that

Know what? I think it's time they cared. I think it's time that they realized that if they want to keep their positions, they need to be responsible adults about our finances. I don't want or expect them to do anything more than I have to do every Friday at payroll time. I am partially...

OK a little help,,, pump and roll on a fire truck that does not really allow for that

Interestingly enough, almost simultaneously with the attempts to raise the millage of our taxes, the howls and disquieting screams of our politicians were heard stating that the budgets would not support our police, fire or school system. Firemen and police officers would have to be laid off...

OK a little help,,, pump and roll on a fire truck that does not really allow for that

We have large agricultural wells that we can draft from ... and we better... Miami Dade County, Florida, calculates how many gallons are being used at the event and are currently planning to charge the owner suffering the fire. If it comes from a hydrant ... it is one thing, and easier to do...

OK a little help,,, pump and roll on a fire truck that does not really allow for that

Imagine woodpile fires where equipment is within the burning pile. This equipment is, more than likely, full of diesel fuel, hydraulic oil or engine oil as well as coolant. If we can hit the equipment with the foam bringing the temps down and suffocating the oxygen from the metals and the...

OK a little help,,, pump and roll on a fire truck that does not really allow for that

Yaaaa. I know about the price of foam, but a little birdie told me that even out of date foam is perfectly good... unless you fight airplane fires... out of date foam costs a dime on the dollar... works for me! You see we are our own Private Fire Department fighting the fires the government...

Flying Old Glory Proudly on 9-11

Guys, I feel very strongly about this topic. I really think that maybe we should post pics of our American Flags proudly flying in the wind. I will also check with some flag manufacturers to see if they wish to participate on a program where they reduce their profit margins to a minimum on...

Flying Old Glory Proudly on 9-11

Guys, on a separate note, don't forget to put your flag up for 9-11 in honor of those we lost-I have made a personal promise to always fly Old Glory as a reminder of who we are, of who we have been and more importantly those that made us so. Pride in our Country is something we usually carry...
