That’s not a ground connection.... That’s a kinda ground connection. It might not be all of your problem, but it IS a problem. Nice job hunting it down!

I use dielectric grease on all of my connections. It prevents oxidation and corrosion.

I’m wondering if a pump for a boat’s trim tabs might work for the power steering. I don’t know if they are rated for continuous duty but they have the motor, pump and reservoir all in one unit. I’m looking forward to seeing this project complete. I’m hoping you can do a video of it in action...

I have been searching the PM's and Lubrication Order to find what fluid is used in the power steering. The closest I got was "5 quarts, OE/HDO 10". I always seem to get lost searching the TM's. It's just me, I know. But if anyone knows what kind of fluid to use, I would appreciate it. I found...

Hi Dino68. Welcome to the site. You will find a lot of information and helpful, friendly folks here. You have a nice looking truck there. I'm curious, did you have any issues getting it titled? Some states (like Michigan) make it almost impossible.

I think the rods could be much shorter. Maybe a few inches longer than the height of the bucket. I would clean up the connections and coat them with silicone rubber cement to prevent corrosion. Consider adding a plastic spacer at the bottom of the rods. If those rods were bumped and contacted...
