    Late Model USAF M35A2C Registry

Is there still interest in the registry? If so what was determined? I have always thought there were 1000 AF Deuces made and the reason there were not more, (because the military wanted more)was because of emissions. I don't remember where I got this. Thanks

    Decoding unit markings

Here are the numbers on my M35a2. I'm also curious what they mean. Mine weren't covered over when I got the truck at Ft Lewis years ago. Thanks

    M1009 / RT524 radio questions

I plan on using the an/grc 46 set up. I thought I'd use the c-2299 on the dash to plug in the headset and mic. I wanted to hang a LS-454 speaker on the dash also and connect it directly to the RT-524 where the headset plugs in but wasn't sure that would work. I don't have an intercom system and...

Fast idle and advance temp sensor.

I'm trying to make my daughters M1009 start easier. I have no power to the high idle connection or the advance. I didn't have 12v there so I changed out the sensor for a new one and still have no power to the high idle. What controls the power to the sensor? Is it just the ignition switch? Thanks

    M151 shotgun mount

I know they had many shotguns from WWI and WWII in the Vietnam war but the army and marines needed more so they contracted with Stevens in 1965 and Ithica in 1962. They also bought civvy shotguns on the open market. I shouldn't have typed issued, because they had 1200's 1100's, Brownings, 870's...

    M151 shotgun mount

I have an M151a1 and a Stevens 77e. Has anyone mounted a shotgun in their M151? I know the M14 and M16 were mounted, but I didn't want to substitute, but to make the shotgun additional if possible. The Stevens 77e, I believe was the only military contract shotgun in the Vietnam war and kind of...

    M1009 / RT524 radio questions

I'm also trying to figure where the c2299 should be mounted. I originally thought the bracket in the dash center but now not sure as no position looks right. Any ideas?

    M1009 / RT524 radio questions

After studying many pictures I determined the arrows on the brush guard point to the base so that is the way it is mounted. I have a sugar scoop but I can't find one picture where it's used. It is difficult to find a picture close up so I might have missed one bit it looks like it isn't used. I...

    M1009 / RT524 radio questions

I have a antenna base brush cover with up arrows for the M1009 and 08. The rubber window gasket is in the way with the m009 arrow up. If I mount it with the M1008 arrow up it barely protects the antenna base. I hope this is right. My antenna base is mounted just outside from the radio table. I...

New M1009, stuck starter, replaced with DH relay, won't start

You may not need the alternator rebuilt if the lights come on when you turn on the key and go off after you rev the engine slightly. Once the light goes out, with the engine running check the voltage at the battery. Should be over 14 volts on each. If the gen 1 or 2 gives you a slight glow then...

New M1009, stuck starter, replaced with DH relay, won't start

One thing I forgot to add on battery voltage is if at full charge you have less than 12.5 volts get a new battery. If you have between 12.5 and 12.6 and it won't take any more charging, your battery will be on it's last legs. A new battery will have about 12.85 off the shelf and sometimes you...

New M1009, stuck starter, replaced with DH relay, won't start

As what Cucvrus says low voltage on the battery means your sending high amperage through your system. That is very possibly why the starter relay first went out. High amps burns stuff up. Weak batteries, one or both will do this. It could be your charging system not charging one or both...

New M1009, stuck starter, replaced with DH relay, won't start

I would just charge the batteries then try to start the truck. If you take nearly dead batteries to be tested they will fail the test. 12.1 is dead, but it does say you have good cells, by that I mean not a dead one. If you don't have a charger get one and charge them 1 at a time. I know I can't...

    m100 trailer holes.

We are painting a M100 trailer. Wire wheel, scraper and rustoleum. On the rear there are holes that are are not symmetrical in each lower rear outside corner. I was wondering what they are used for. I see them in pictures of every original M100 trailer but never see them used. Thanks

K53 Communications Van BOX found... (May 2018)

I think you perked their interest in selling it and they are going to be very disappointed when they won't get any money. That is just my take from looking at the pictures. If they didn't need the money your approach would be a viable one. Of course you have personally talked to them so you have...

K53 Communications Van BOX found... (May 2018)

One thing to think about is how you are going to load it. Communicate that expense to the seller and the difficulty involved. They know already how heavy it is because of the difficulty they had, and don't underestimate it. Does it have a data plate or a builder? Good luck!

    M49 deuce fuel truck pump

I've got a M49 that was converted to a water tanker for a fire dept. They didn't use the pump that came on the truck and removed it. It originally ran off the power takeoff on the transfer case and the drivelines are still there. What RPM was it designed to turn at? Anyone know the specs on that...

1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked.

The last M1009 I sold I probably sold too cheap. 1st guy that came out crawled over it like forever. I told him there was nothing wrong with it, and no rust. It was like I was hiding something. Maybe he was just in the looking stage and not intending to buy, just a tire kicker, but I had it so...

    M1009 vibration

I have parked this truck for the last 2 years and bought a little 91 G-10 Chevy shorty van, because I couldn't figure this vibration out. The van is very handy, low miles, rust free, economical and was cheap, but I want to fix this CUCV. This is the nicest looking, rust free M1009 I have ever...

    m1009 motor mounts

Thanks for the ORD thought, but I'm not going to lift my truck, so I couldn't use the crossmember. The motor mounts are also $170 and urethane so they will vibrate more. I thought I would try the energy suspension inserts, but need to know which motor mount is under there, so I can order the...
