    Electric Heater

:funny: Electric heat will use too many amps to make it feasible (if you can find 24V), so I'd probably go with the mittens, too, until you have cash...;-)

    Gen 2

Can you clarify? Once you've revved it, it keeps charging, or it goes back to the dim light situation?

    M-35 cab heater

Actually, I sold my last spare recently. :( NOS fuel heater kits can be had for about $500-$700, which includes EVERYTHING needed to install (heater, ducts, diverter, controls, wiring, all hardware, etc), including bluepriint drawings and detailed instructions.

    HEMTT Prices and availability

I'm sure someone else will chime in with actual experience, but: 1) $75K-plus 2) VERY rarely - some dealers have one or two 3) Not many in civilian hands 4) Parts are not plentiful. Good luck!

    M-35 cab heater

In ND, you might opt for the fuel burning unit. MUCH warmer...:-D

    Retry- Questions about M915A1

The inter-axle differential lock will make it act more like a deuce or 5-ton in the snow. Better than not having it at all, but not really great, either. Chains and weight on the 5th wheel are your best friend.

    Cargo Cover

I have a line on some NOS CUCV covers. They are not the Dodge M880 cover, but the real deal M1008/A1 cover. I will post details when I know for sure, but that might be a couple of weeks...

    Looking for pic's of M125 +155gun or 8"how

Here's a shot of an M125 with a towed gun (not sure of the size). This was posted on the mil-veh list years ago and I think it was from South Korea after the war. Sorry it's not a side shot, but it's the only pic I've got of an M125 towing a gun.

Honey, there's a letter from Government Liquidation in the mail for you...

Who won what on 12 NOV?

Man, I didn't even think it was one of the nicest. As far as the rebuilds go, it looked about average to me. Slim pickin's nowadays, though...

    600 gallon fuel pod dimensions?

FMJ, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Bill, Yup, that's the one.

    600 gallon fuel pod dimensions?

Does anyone have one of the 600 gallon fuel pods that they could take some measurements from? Specifically, I am looking for the measurement between the skids on each end, the width of the skids (or a measerment from outside to outside of the skids), the overall height of the skids when sitting...

Proper Display of the US Flag on my Deuce for Parades?

Well, once you know the code, I'm not sure why you would choose not to follow it? I think that would be considered "disrespecting" the flag, which is also against the code. If you can't display it properly on your truck, then you shouldn't display it at all, IMHO.

Proper Display of the US Flag on my Deuce for Parades?

The following is from Supply Line (August/September 2009). The article is appropriately called "Displaying the U.S. Flag" I edited it down to the highlights that are related to the question. I hope it is helpful:

    How to ID MVs

Technically, it a GM hydramatic. The same basic trans was used in some 1950's cars (Caddys and such). That's the part most guys are afraid of. They are a good truck if the trans is good and adjusted right. You need lots of line pressure to keep that trans from slipping and going bye-bye, so it...

My deuce deadlined me, Read the TM

Man, What did you do to piss that truck off so bad? She's been kickin' your butt lately! Did you get caught cheatin' with a CUCV or something??? ;-) Seriously, that's good advice and I hope you feel better and heal quick!

    Whats the diff? CUCV, CUTV

I think CUTV came from Commercial UTility Vehicle. Apparently, in most soldier speak, they don't worry about the Cargo...

    Smokes White and no start

Souinds like glow plugs to me. If even 3 or 4 are bad, it won't start in the cold. Replace the plugs and then figure out if the firewall resistors are bad or what else is causing them to fail to easily. The resistors should each Ohm out at .28 Ohms +/- 5%
