RE: M38A1 won Sure sounds llike it was in 4-wheel low. The shaking could be due to bad steering components, out-of-round tires, or bent wheel rims. If you had a lot of vibration, you ought to check all your u-joints and transfer case bearings.

The push dozers were built by LeTourneau-Westinghouse. They operate like a railroad locomotive. The diesel turns a generator which, in turn, powers electric drive motors in the wheels.

I had to look down a few threads to find the "before" pics, but I found 'em. The truck definately looks better without those huge bed sides on it. FWIW, I'd find a way to get rid of 'em if i had to sell 'em for scrap and put some stock sides on it. Keeping the tin top would make the truck...

What's a Chevy XM705 look like? Can't say that I ever saw one.

I got a good one...except for the hole in the side of the block...for $600. Mine has a few dents and dings in the bed, but no rust. For the one you mention, I'd say that $200 would be pushing the max.

On the license question, I have a non-commercial Class B license here in Illinois. Got it when they changed over to the CDL system and converted the the old chauffer's license to the new ones. I don't drive commercially any more (can't pass a DOT physical), but I keep renewing the Class B...
