Out and about with the M35

I often see ads for military vehicles "with wench." In your case, I see it has three wenches. That, my friend, is a well equipped deuce. You never know when you may need more than one "wench." :)

My assigned vehicle, Germany, Nov. '76

Re: RE: My assigned vehicle, Germany, Nov. I attended my 45-year HS reunion a couple of years ago. My wife observed that "It's funny that all the guys in your class have gray hair but none of the women do. I wonder why that is? ;) "

    IGI M151-A2 (sold) PICS

Yup! "Remoulded" = "recapped." I don't like the ROPS, though. I suppose it's a wise idea if you like to do some serious rock climbing and stuff like that, but I'm too old for that sort of thing now. I'd prefer to have one "as issued."

    New turtle is home

The knight might be a unit emblem for an armored cav outfit, maybe??

    EUC Frustration and Incompetence

It all depends on who ends up processing your paperwork. Government regulations and the associated paperwork are written so that they can be read by someone with at least a 6th grade reading level. I'm a former junior high English teacher, and I'm sorry to say that many of the clerks employed...

    Been stuck like this?

I think he meant that he's only been stuck that badly while driving a Ford. Makes sense to me when ya think of it that way.

RE MHANK1- got to bottom of post Workin' Hard-Playin' Harder

Looks to me like it was just an excuse to get the girls out into the boonies. If so, good job, guys. It worked! ;)

    A day in the park

Definately looks like a "good time was had by all." That orange dirt sucks, though. Makes your tires look funny! You need to bring it out here where the dirt matches the tires. ;)

    1945 WC 54 Ambulance F/S

John, Put a blurb about this on the M37 web sige (G741.org) with as much info as possible, including a pic if you can. There are guys on that forum who will probably take it off his hands in a heartbeat.

    Fire trucks

RE: fire Nice looking fire trucks. Someone didn't know what they were doing when they put the stars on 'em, though. I seriously doubt if any bright red fire trucks were deployed in the Normandy invasion. The 1950's vintage Ford certainly wasn't. Maybe someone just likes "invasion" stars??

    My New OD Iron....

It's too shiny! The enemy would see you coming a mile away! You need to stiock a wad of steel wool to the buffer and knock some of the shine off. ;) Then you might want to consider cutting a hatch in the roof and installing a ring mount.

    just bought a deuce

RE: It Welcome to the forum, guys! I'm a M37 owner, myself. Don't have any place to park a deuce without making the City Fathers wet their pants. We have a town ordinance that reads "Trucks larger than a standard pickup truck shall not be parked at the curb in residential areas." My M37...

Re: RE: Danang Junkyard1968///// Recycle yard!!2000!! I had to take "History of the Viet Nam War" in college, too. I'm a 'Nam vet. My professor was a draft-dodger who took refuge in Canada for the duration of the war. Dare I suggest that we had some diametrically opposed views on the...

    Todays pickup from Barstow

Nice score on the deuce! I like the VW "conversion van," too. It would have been even better if it had been one of the earlier vans with the "bikini" front and a canvas sun roof.
