Hey hndrsonj. I got you email, but have not had time to reply. I actually do have one fiberglass set left, but the sides are not too hot. I can't imagine how I would get a complete set out you anyways. I will have to break down a set to get an idea of the shipping cost.
There may be a question of what exactly our flow rates actually mean as Bjorn tests were free flow, and I would assume the Facet flow rate I listed was under pressure. It probably worth emailing some of the manufacturers to find out what specs they have listed and how they did their testing...
Bjorn I see what you mean about the flow rates. Do you know if the intank pump is rebuildable? My pump gets noisy somtimes, and I am thinking that the bearings might need to be replaced, if they can be.
The guy who won the deuce was a short white male probably in his 60s. He looked to be dressed in maybe WWII uniform. I think GL took some pics of him, so he might pop up in some GL stuff. I don't know he is though. Scrounger got the tractor.
When figuring the price per gallon on the Netherlands are you using the same type of gallon measurement that we are here in the USA? From what I understand a gallon is larger in several European countries then here.
The one time I have had my Deuce with stock 9x20 tires I was amazed at how fast my from tires sunk into the mud to the point I could not steer at all. The rears floated just fine though, so I ended up backing up and finding a different path. If looks like you have a winch, so I bet your sinks...
I am guessing in one word the reason is Aberdeen and a lack of sleep from getting ready, and now from the long busy fun weekend. Both Steelsoldiers and Magnus where there.
When I picked up my Deuce from Chambersburg it was was making some serious smoke and felt a little weak. It all went away after stretching her out a bit though. My parents were a little concerned following me though.
I noticed the same thing as OPCOM. With your truck parked in front of...
Well an engine brake would be doing the same compression thing. Cranetruck has put some miles on his truck since he put on the brake and his engine is.....well.....hmmmm. I have had no problem with downshifting, but don't know.
If you are going to end up with some junk exhaust parts I would be interested. I have been wanting to do some testing on different mufflers and baffles with a dB meter, but I don't want to hack on my nice one just to do testing.
Hehehe the truck stops in Va. are cheap for cash purchase of diesel. In the $2.50 range. I paid $2.44 on the way to Aberdeen and $2.46 on the way home. I topped the duece and all my jerry cans to the absolute top. No expansion room at all, but I would burn a few immediately. I think it is...
I just got home about an hour ago. Adam and his Dad Joe convoyed with me back to the bottom of the DC beltway. They headed south to SC. They said they were going to stop at a hotel later when they needed to. I went to a friends house to take a shower which I very much needed. I then drove...
What brand tie downs did you use. They seem to up to the task. Bad timing as you could have borrowed my towbar before Aberdeen, but now it is up here in Va. at home.
Sorry to be short, but some of these subjects have been covered clearly already in dealing with Virginia law recently. Please use the search function.
Read my posts to both of these threads they cover the Titling and CDL subjects...
I found this old thread on what spares people keep in their trucks. Of course this is slanted to already having the truck at home, but it should give you some ideas.

I would also suggest some extra fuses...
Welcome to SS.
There are some really good post on people planning their delivery of their trucks and also many on people who drove it home. You really should do some searches of the archives.
If you have actually inspected this truck and are comfortable with its condition then drive it...
If you are heading down there again drop me a line. I would love head down there again, and carpooling would save fuel these days. I am right off of 95.
Looks like some nice finds there.
