    Rain Cap Flapper

I don't get much distance with my medium size cambell soup can, but it makes quite a clunk when launched. It stays in place when windy too. I took the label off and painted it black. I have looked at installing a flapper too, but so far I have decided that I don't want to modify the exterior...

    DEUCE spin on oil filters!!!!

I should be up front and say that I am working on the same basic configuration and expect to have a prototype by Aberdeen. A couple things stick out to me. First the filter selected while it has a anti-drainback valve it is only rated for 16 microns. The original is rated for 25 microns...

    My new project

I think you need some bigger tires to keep the proportions right. Looks like you did some nice work on it.

    Euopean Invasion!!!

That volvo is the ugliest MV I have ever seen. Where can I buy one? My Volvo station wagon would like the company.

    M35A2 or M813?

RE: M32a2 or m813? I like the M35, but I would like to play around with a M813 sometimes. M35 gets better MPG. M800s have power steering.

    Bought M105--load out questions

Welcome to SS :) There have been some good threads recently on picking up a M105 with vehicles other then deuces. Just look at my pick up vehicle in this link and you will stop worrying so much. The only incompatible pintle problem I have ever had was when I tried to use a civilian 12000lbs...

    Tranny/Transfer Drain Plug Dimensions

While we are on plug sizes does anyone know the thread size of the engine oil pan plugs?

    Crane, Truck Mounted-Up for bid

If these type posts did not matter and are no secret why don't they ever start with "I am bidding on this item, but you guys really should take a look at what I found."

    Desplined M35 Hubs

Unless you have access to a lathe or mill this is not a DIY project from what I have seen. Nothing hard about it with the right tools though. This is all the How-to you need though. http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1144&highlight=desplined+hubs

    Crane, Truck Mounted-Up for bid

    - No "Hey look at this cherry M35A2 on GL with only 25 miles and only one person bidding on it with 15 minutes to go" posts. This was posted for the conversations forum, but I was under the impression it was for the other forums too.

    OK, Who bought my motor?

Oh man I totally forgot about this. Looks like it went for $5150. Wow that is even more then I thought. Unless the guys at the motor depot bothered to degrease a used motor, repaint it, and then retape all the installation parts boxes to the motor it is probably NOS. I don't know if paying...

    Fillin' the gap??

RE: Fillin My M1009 has that gap too. At first I thought is look awkward, but now I just chalk it up as a military vehicle quirk. Looks like an easy fix. If anyone caries it LMC will carry it, but I have not found it in the few minutes I looked. www.lmctruck.com

Titles for trucks older than 25 years (most of us)

Perhaps you should have registered it in another state first then. Any chance of getting a SF-97 from GL. If that is where you got it anyways. They say they will only go back so far, but I hear of people getting help with older purchases on occasion.

Titles for trucks older than 25 years (most of us)

Have you tried to show them the VIN plate with all the GVW stuff on it? Take a clear pic, or have an inspector schedule a visit.

Towbar for CUCV moving to Texas.

Every-time I am in Texas I am amazed to see people towing vehicles with rope. Perhaps this would really make your trip an "adventure". We of course would need pics of each time you rear end yourself. Seriously hit Uhaul, Agri, Northern tool, Pepboys Auto, etc. I have seen towbars at all...

Register for the East Coast Convoy!

I was temped to do this, but as of right now I have some side trips that would not work out with this. I did check out the website though, and I noticed there is no information on routes and expected arrival times.

Anyone from Texas coming to Aberdeen?

I was wondering if anyone is going to attend Aberdeen from Texas, or if anyone is visiting the Virginia area? I have some items I am thinking of purchasing that I would need transportation for. Aren't there some websites that you can post a load to have delivered, and people private and...

    Todays motor swap w/pics

Having that forklift almost makes pulling that motor look easy. Are you parting out that dead motor?

Cut open coolant filter from the deuce

You know if you are selling coolant filter setups you have a sale from me. That is nasty. What does your setup look like? I want to filter just about everything on my truck, and this would be a good step.

    Radio headset storage/hanging

I usually just put my drivers on the steering wheel too, but I figure it might be nice to have a place anyways for when I am in and out of the vehicle. I tried the mini bungee for the passenger, and it works well. It really makes a difference on keeping the wires tangle free. I will have to...
