    Five ton deck and ladder.

Nice work. I was wondering if the extensions were longer then stock too. What about making the second rung telescope, so it can lay flat off of the winch. Maybe hang the lower rung with some heavy wire rope that fits up into the upper. You could trap the rope with appropriate size washers.

    M35a3 wheel

Don't forget that the M35A3 wheels are 20"x11". I am curios about the backspacing too. Also the M35A3 had different hubs to allow for the central air system. I wonder if there was any spacing changes on these. USA6x6 makes 10"x20" beadlock wheels.

    Source for sand/beadblasting media?

Yeah Grainger will "work with you" on making a business to sell to. I suspect that if you made a business card with crayon and colored paper they would happily take it.

    CUCV Starter GB CLOSED

RE: Re: Lost by a more aggressive bidder CUCVFAN I agree with you that it would be great if we could keep future sensative GB discussions to only those in on the GB. Barring a private forum though or alot of emails I am not sure how to really do that. Even so it would be easy for someone just...

    Outbid by $10,000

emmado22 congrats on your win. That is an REALLY NICE truck. There might be a little drool on the floor board from me that you might have to clean up :) She ran real nice when I was there months ago. I kind of figured someone that wanted an almost new truck without having to rebuild it...

Super Clean M35A2C went for $16500

RE: Super Clean M35A2C went for $1650 Whoops that zero makes a big difference.

Super Clean M35A2C went for $16500

No that this auction is closed I thought I would point this auction out to everyone. I saw this truck months ago when I was purchasing my deuce, and was impressed with how clean it was. I would say it is almost new. Apparently others saw this too...

    CUCV Starter GB CLOSED

Unfortunatly ARMYMAN30YearsPlus and I did not manage to win either lot in these GBs. Whoever 77007402 is definatly wanted them more then we did. Lot 13 went for $1480 and $1702 after fees. Lot 14 went for $1449 and $1666.35 after fees. I personally think we put in a very resonable bid on...

    Source for sand/beadblasting media?

How much do you need? Also what grit are you looking for? Shipping will be expensive for this stuff. Grainger is a good source as you can pick-up at the store, but they only do business-to-business sales. They often allow individuals to buy under a company's account if you pay upfront. If...

    cooling system maintenence

What type of radiator fluid are you planning to use? I usually use the newer orange(?) fluid on all my other vehicles. I don't know if there are any compatibility issues with the MVs though.

    CUCV Starter GB CLOSED

M1075 please remove the figures that you posted. There is no point in you making it easier for others to figure out what the max bid will be even if it is obvious to those who bother read the thread. I had already asked you this in private. There is no way to run a GB on a auction like this...

    CUCV Starter GB CLOSED

*UPDATE* Well it was close on GB #2, but there are not enough people to make it happen. ARMYMAN30YearsPlus and others have talked about trying a smaller GB, and may contact people on that. I hope we can get enough starters for everyone here. I will be driving out tomorrow to inspect...

Glow plugs vs. Ether on a CUCV

Magnus I had not broken anything yet, so why would I read the directions? Sad but true actually as I had never bothered. I got my starting directions from RSOVRanger when on a recent thread he mentioned half throttle above 30 and full below 30. I think this morning it was at half throttle...

Glow plugs vs. Ether on a CUCV

I have noticed that my M1009 does not always want to start easily when it is cold, but this morning it would not start at all. According to the forecast is was supposed to be 25-30 degrees this morning. After multiple attempts to get her started I decided to give it a tiny squirt of ether from...

    Rims and Tires

If you want stock painted rims why would you want to spend the money to buy new ones? The stock rim on the M1009 is 15" which is a really easy size to get tires in. Is this a M1009 or M1008 you are talking about? I think I remember that 33" tires is the largest you can go without having to...

    removing bows from troop seating.

You don't happen to be one of the unlucky ones with the metal verticle bows? I had a few stuck in my seat verticles that I had to oil and beat to death to remove. They looked to be real tight to begin with, and then rusted together. Otherwise I have a dripside too, and they just drop in.

    My CUCV. (M1009)

So are your passengers shorties? One of your pics looks like you have a tow stap being used as a step. :) I was curious with you having to deal with the real cold much more then the rest of us. How does the 6.2 start in the cold? Are the glow plugs enough? I see you are using a 12v system...

    Hey guys/gals newb here

Here is what I purchased this summer. http://web.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=916630 I think I got a good deal on it, but not amazing. Since then I have been keeping my eyes out for another one for a friend. I have seen the prices go mainly up since then, but not always...

    Hey guys/gals newb here

Ok you lost me on your purchasing goals. You said you were looking for a interior over a good body. We said you should buy a body over the interior. You still said you were after the interior. The vehicle you were actually after was all good body and missing interior parts......... Anyways...

    My CUCV. (M1009)

Well it looks like they take up all the room back there, but then again that could be tha angle too. I assume some come out depending on the usage at the time too. I guess if they are full though then you need the size. 20MM cans were mentioned above. Are those what they are, and how do they...
