    M35a2 recovery Alabama to Chicago

Great to hear your trip was a success. [thumbzup] Don't forget to check the vent on top of the transmission. They are just like the ones on the axles and if it sticks shut it will let the pressure in the transmission build up when it gets hot and can cause the fluid to purge out the input...

    pinion seal

Yes you need air to keep the front axle lock engaged.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

You are correct on the full kit cost and shipping. Those crates are big and heavy. I wish I would have know that GMA was going to stop production and single item sales to the public I would have bitten the bullet and bought one or two covers for my deuce and trailer. Oh well, 20/20 hind sight.:(

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

I was hoping that a enterprising vendor might put together a group buy sense this topic comes up every couple of months. Use the power of business to business discounts and volume shipping rates. One of the problems would be who needs complete kits and who needs just covers. Covers only are much...

    Standard H Transmission

I ran across a 13spd Road Ranger when I pulled wrenches for a living that had the 4th 5th reversed like in the deuce. Only one I ever ran across.

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

I was just sitting here thinking if it would be a good idea to place a 1/4” or 3/16 hardened washer between the base and floor at the bolt locations to allow air circulation through there. Also would let you blowout dirt and water with a air hose.

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

I have thought about that happening seeing how these cabs leak all the time and having that large metal plate that makes the base of the seat bolted directly to the metal floor that way. Looks like I might just need to pull my seat and see if anything is hiding under there.
