If you are not getting a good stream of fuel out of the lift pump you might want to replace that also since you have a remaned IP coming. My lift pump is dead I think, Friday my m1009 wouldn't start after my filter change and it took a 12v pump to prime the IP so I figure I have a dead fuel pump...
I did a cold air intake (ram air) from the front right near the batteries there is a knockout there. I got flexable plasic tubing at autozone ($19.99) and ran it direct to the intake. I also run a K@N. When your batteries go I put two red top gelcels in the upper battery tray and removed the...
When the plugs are on mine is just above the red mark in the yellow. Then it is in the yellow close to the green when the relay kicks off. Mine typically sits about center between yellow and green when running (unless it has taken me longer to start it and the batteries are recovering then it is...
First clean all of your connections and fuses. I used a knife to scrape the oxidation off of the blade fuses and a pencil eraser to clean the bulb housings. Next lube the bulbs and fuses with dielectric (available at any parts store) grease then replace. This fixed the majority of the issues I...
Sportsmans guide has a propane setup that will set you back about 100$ that will solve your hot water issues provided you have a propane tank a pump and a water source. By the way MKT's rock! Absolutely the best food I ever had camping was out of an MKT.
I agree that plastic tanks HDPE are the best solution long term. I was planning on mounting them between the ribs on the bottom of my m109 as there is plenty of road clearance there and it doesn't take away from space inside the major drawback is freezing though. I guess you could put drain...
I painted mine (the plastic housing after removing everything) silver and cleaned all the contacts went back with dielectric grease and greased all the electrical connections and now they are bright. :jumpin:
I think a hybrid of the black water system above is a good idea. Have a 15/20 gal black water tank with a 15/20 gal portable unit that can connect to it. That way you can have your crap and haul it too (so to speak). Anyone looked at rainwater tanks for showers? I think you should have the sink...
Didn't they change WD 40's formula so it won't ignite as easily (ie not good for starting a diesel anymore). Why not just atomize diesel in a fog bottle near the intake?
