The only thing that comes to mind is what the state does with senior drivers and the BS emission test. A senior citizen can send the state emission test notice back with the current mileage on their car and if it is less than 5K sense their last notice, IIRC, they don't have to test their car...
Paul,
Thank you for the offer of assistance in this matter. Currently they are not singling out MV's. The proposed changes would affect all vehicles with historic tags.
Sitting here going through these bills it just dawned on me they might be trying an end run on cutting off historic registration to vehicles over 10K. Every bill has to be presented in both the House of Representatives, HB***** and the Senate, SB****. Then if both are passed in the respective...
I would have to disagree that we would be better off. It still removes the "[occasional transportation]" language and replaces it with "use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, tours". Also the insurance clause is a killer for me. If I can't park it in my back yard outside and can't pickup...
The two separate bills are S.O.P in their divide and concur strategy that they have used time and time again about several issues in this state. If these bills get passed then they will start nibbling away at one or the other group with more restriction while telling the remaining group “don't...
I haven't used them but they seem to have several trucks running the Baltimore, Glenn Burnie and Ft. Meade area. Not sure how far south they run.

I wasn't jumping on them just because of the party. In Maryland it is 3 to 1 Democrat to Republican in voter registration and the Governor is is a Democrat and the Legislature is majority Democrat. If it was reversed I would slam the Republicans if they where doing the same thing to me instead...
Correct, it should not have that opening. They should be totally sealed. I would repair as soon as possible. Not only does that boot keep out water but also dirt, sand and any other debris kicked up going down the road.
Sure.... rub it in. :) If I have a chance I'm going to stop by to visit 1 or 2 of the folks that have the fire trucks and see if they are aware of this. Can't hurt.
You are correct. If we could just take the outlined area and send it to the left cost where it belongs things would be a heck of a lot better around here.
That's what happens when the state is run by liberal democrats and a vast number of the population are either government workers or the company they work for is a government supplier or contractor. The bigger more intrusive government the better.
According to the post from midcounty the bill is in the JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS COMMITTEE. I attached the link to the web page that shows the members. I am writing a respectful letter to them and also to my state senator with my opposition to the bill.
Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings...
That's got to be it because when I registered mine I put 25K in the GVWR and when I received the registration it was like yours and had N/A on it. Also my comment on the fire trucks was there are a few in the area around here that are privately owned and are tagged historic so they will be...
Congratulations on the new deuce. These vehicles have a single circuit brake system and you need to be very mindful that if one part fails you are in deep real quick. Give yourself lots of following distance. As others have said read the operators manual.
