Air was my guess! I would re check all of the connections you recently replaced chances are one fitting is not seated drawing in air (start near the filter at the rubber lines)
Dumb question but the batteries are series 24v right? Have you checked to see if you get 24v dc at the terminals with the positive lug removed and the engine running (ie alt test)
Well working on the equipment at the base is a huge no no. Yes I know lots of us have done it. They have gotten REAL anal about it. And God forbid it leak oil (or you spill anything) on the ground! They will rake you over the coals! I have recovered (tow bar) two deuces, both about 200 mile...
I would look around the tire for the brake fluid leak (normally easy to spot) as a oily black discoloration on the tires. That will point you in the direction of which brake cylinder is leaking. The cylinder is not so hard to fix but removing everything is a Bi*<h. You must be able to jack up...
I would remove and clean all my grounds and hot leads and put dielectric grease on all bolted connections. Start from square one and work forward from the battery. You may also have a hot wire grounding (since it killed the battery). I know that when a marker light bulb is burned out on a...
I have mine setup so that the main and the generator switch cannot be on at the same time. I just had to buy the sliding lockout for the face of my breaker panel. It works great
I have a 24v/12v voltage reducer that works great, it is like the above and I got it off Ebay. I wired it up through a swich so It was only on when needed. Great for 12v accesories, instead of pulling off 1 battery. It is mounted under the dash near the glovebox:-D
Go hot is right! I got lucky recently with GL though and got a M35a2 cargo for $1100 with a heater, insulated hard top, very litttle rust, 1982 model, with airshift. The only things wrong were one leaking wheel cylinder(now fixed, THANKS STUMP) and a crack in the windshield glass on one side...
Nice score! yes I agree Sevo and his girlfriend were awesome cooks! we got to be the first to try out his new(to him) MKT at the Mid atlantic rally! Ask them to cook bannana nut bread! man! it was the best I ever had.
That is where having great friends here and at rallys help(thanks neilhendrix). I have found people here to be real helpful and have heard of members who came out to help someone who was on the side of the road a long way from home. This (Steel Soldiers) is a great place to build relationships...
U pays your money and u takes your chances! With that said I have been EXCEEDINGLY lucky so far as all of mine had everything that I could see in the pictures and in a few cases some nice surprises. Mine are NC/VA/MD Trucks though.:-D
