Mine radio is run off one battery (not the one the blower runs off of) and works great I put my 3 port 12v accesory recepticle in under the steering wheel it works great too! Speakers mount under the dash pad and you can either build boxes for the ones in the rear or buy enclosed speakers and...
I had one bad cell in one battery that actually was smoking ( off gassing a lot) whenever I tried to fire up my 1009, there was no saving the battery. I think that these batteries probably sit so much that the plates sulfate and cause a higher than normal resistance to charging and thus short...
I have found that biodiesel or even WVO (thats centrifuged) cleans the fuel system real well. When I ran my m1009 on it, I ended up changing the filter twice from all of the crud in the tank. So far only once on the Deuce filters though! You might want to blend a little diesel with it just so...
Welcome and Enjoy your 1009! OD Green disease is easy to catch! You may have a 6X6 in your yard before you know it. THans for your service to our country!:-D
I'll bet thats it. I was betting on driveshaft or yoke connection. I lost a driveshaft in my CUCV highway at 70 mph and it wasn't vibrating badly. I would line it up and tighten it down and hit the road again, after checking all the other bolts.:-D

I did mine like BP1009 and it took about 2 hrs to install. If you remove the dash you have holes for speaker mounts 4" speakers. There will be some sawzall work to make the radio fit if you are going for cd player size. I put the larger speakers in the back and have yet to mount them. I will...
AGGGGHHH you SUCK! HOW lucky are you! Seriously the top looks great! I just wish it was on my deuce. Was the dome light insert a stock thing or something you built or aftermarket? It's cool:-D

Oh, you might spray penetrating oil on the nut that goes into the wheel cylinder(on the brake lines) so it is easy to loosen before you even begin to jack up the truck.
