Wow 19kilo you have the Cadilac of a BOV! I am currently building my m109 for a similar purpose. About the fuel question, many of us have invested in centrifuges and have our own WVO or WMO supply on hand. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to be self sufficient.
Lets face it you can't prepare for any and all situations and thats why we all should have friends we can depend on as well as being a dependable friend. I am the guy with the big trucks and different gensets in my group, others are farmers, some have large stores of food or water, or fuel and...
I think I would worry more about light bullet resistance and run flat tires for a bug out vehicle as civil strife is more likely than a nuclear airburst. Even a blackout that lasted for more than a week could be a major problem in some areas
Or just build a big faraday cage for a garage. Enough well grounded sheet metal or mesh and you can protect anything( as long as there are no openings.
About failure rate I would say it depends... Maintain a low mileage vehicle well and don't drive stupid and you may not have any problems. It seems to me the less electronic crap you have to deal with the better but thats my 2cents.
You can pick up great CO meters in anyaircraft supply shop catalogs like sportys or wag aero, they are made to warn you well before you pass out or get sick.

Sounds like bad luck. I had one ran great great with good oil pressure then while idling it just started knocking. I have yet to run it since. We are going to pull the pan and see if we can fix it before it self destructs.
Anyone ever gotten a fine from running WVO? It is diesel colored (golden) so I figure you would get a pass. I never had anyone check my tank. This also helps to lube your injection pump!:-D
I have successfully run WVO in my 300sd Benz, M1009 and Deuce. I heat the oil to drop out water and drain it off the bottom then I centrifuge it to remove the heavies they say it filters down to .05 microns. I have exceptional success with this and have run for well over 3 years. My stocks of...
Excellent photos! Stump and I just pulled the box off of one of the 109's with the CUCV today! Exciting and no damage! Also no pictures:cry: Sorry. Amazing what you can do with leverage and a strap(chains)and a CUCV. I can't wait to see your conversions!:-D Spring rally in Uharrie?
