The thumb one got me once. That hurt for a while. Never had it happened again.

ONly times I have seen the no camera signs were at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Ft. Gordon and on Air Force bases. And the first 2 were only limited to certain areas.

Don't have pics or specs, I looked at McMaster and did not see anything close (would not be surprised if I missed something) Only part number I could find was for the whole latch.

Anybody know of a source for just the spring? I can't see paying the prices some of the places are quoting me for the whole latch when all I need is the spring. Prices vary from 40 up to 85 for the whole latch.

The next show is a month away. The wrecker belongs to the group that puts on the show so I am sure it will be there. The MV show seems to be picking up, can't wait until next years MV show. of course their ride through history seems to be a big hit, so I can't wait for that next month.

If your worried about the extra axle, why not just take out and axle and leave it full sized. Would be easier to restore down the line.

I would bet his parents or him were not the only one smiling about doing it, bet you had a big smile as well. Sometime all it takes is the simple things to make someone happy.
