I know of a lot of people that are looking for that brace. One of only a few part from a dropside I don't want. One day I will look for the brackets that hold the bows on the headache rack.
I would rather give money to members here, but the organization that is buying this for me wants it to come from a company. So I forwarded them the information from Spruce Mtn. Just make up my own hand rails.
The ladder for the cargo truck seems to be more versatile then the one on the 109's...
I will be there again, just the truck this time, maybe the trailer. Might even spend the night. Last years ride through history was pretty fun, did not get to ride in the back of the deuces for the reenactments as we were busy trying to buy our mule. So we missed the rides.
Well I know how to get them out, just back up fast and slam the brakes. But then the medical part crossed my mind and that killed that idea fast.
I have steel tubing sitting here from one of my last jobs, but no ladder to make the tubing fit with. And I was told that they were going to the...
You were not the only one doing that this weekend I am sure, I know I was keeping an extra eye on everyone else. I was planning to stop and get ice at the local convenience store and I was pulling up I saw all sorts of lights just ahead of where I was planning to stop. After I got my ice and got...
The 109's used a slightly different ladder, biggest difference was how it connected to the truck. The shelter (S250) I used had a ladder rack mounted on it where you would put the ladder up and a clamp would hold the rungs in place. I will see if I have a pic of that set up for you later tonight.
That might be a little too long, need a semi to haul it.:razz: Like I said I found the correct one, but no hand rails.
The members can get up the one I have, but it "locks" into place and does not want to let loose to be put in the truck. So it takes a couple of us to get it in the truck.
James that looks like a great idea, but I don't think very useful for a few of the vets I haul. if it was just me using it it would be great. Thanks for the link though.
My dad found this at work being scrapped since it was damaged. and this is what it looks like after. Also I want to keep it...
I was recently given the go ahead and buy a deuce boarding ladder for a cargo truck. I have looked all around and the only ones I can find do not have the handrails.
So what I am looking for are the dimensions for the hand rail to fabricate my own. Unless one of you can point me to one that...
I know full fender on an M818 would be difficult due the articulation of the axles, not of how much there is with that 757 as I have never seen one in person.
Having said that, why not make something that could mount to the 5th wheel. That way you could take them off when using a trailer and...
I will have to take you up on that offer for the M125's, as for the 123's a guy local to me (and a member here) bought the 123 you had on ebay recently. Just waiting to hear from him that it's here and when I can go look at it.
UMMMM...WOW.
Not the kind of thing I expected to read about this weekend. As I have said many times I am not a praying man, but I hope that everyone involved not just his family but the others in the accident can get over this.
And I also hope that he didn't suffer at all.
