Well I have just learned that the shackles on a M135/M211 are not the same as a M35.. They seem to be a 7/8 or 15/16ths pin... Anyone have a set of shackles with pins for sale? I have to tow one and will be using axle clamps with a whiffle tree. Why GMC did this I will never know!
Re: RE: 5 ton combat rim nuts?
Yes, some of the rims I purchased are missing some or all of the nuts. BUT I will never pay $22 a piece for them! Ever!.. Hmmm.. Will grade 8ers with lock nuts work ?
Need do buy some of these. The nuts that hold them together. I know its probably been covered before. Anybody have some or know who does. I have a feeling they will cost me.. LOL...
Looks good Chuck.. If the old 818 ran I think I would have switched them around and saved the deuce some work.. LOL... Your now in the 5 ton club!!! yahoooo! So you bringing it to Clare this year?
I have a M116 trailer that might show up at Aberdeen if I can get someone to haul it back for me? Maybe we can find a Michigander willing to do this and put your stuff in the trailer?
Very good point Bruce.. Brakes are the first thing I check when picking up a truck.. This is why a duel resevouir master cylinder is a nice add on or a brake line tank behind the seat so you can see if your loosing fluid. The brakes are one of the major downfalls of these old trucks. Another...
If any of you southern guys can save some of this stuff it would be great. I am just to far away to do anything about it right now. But I would be interested in buying that M152 Dodge if someone could get a price and drag it to a safe place.. It should have a 251 flathead with a ACME trans in...
If I remember right thems prisoners they loaded not wounded.. But however you look at it its impressive. Must be another hello next to it for the shot?
Hey Kenny I need to find or build a set up like you have for your 5th wheel plate. I wonder how that would tow with the front end of a truck on the dolly? She would track better then. As long as we had a wrecker on both ends of the trip it should work..LOL..
Not a big deal at all just needed to ask.. One of them you have probably came off this truck! Hhehehehehe.. Well I could use a set of bows and cover for this truck if anyone out there has some to sell. Just getting the word out. I need to let the credit card sit for a week or two.. The wife made...
I only bought one m146 an its for storage right now. I pulled all the extra crap out of it, wired in the lights and its already about 1/4 full of junk.. I am not sure what Daves plans are for his? The M119 has a decent frame under it so I can see a pintle hitch on the back already! Maybe...
I have pulled two M146's empty so far with my dolly. It handled very well, cornered good, and seems to be a good combo. Only thing you have to watch for is pulling in somewhere. You arent going to back up very far with one thats for sure. I can back up when straight for about 10' until the dolly...
12.5/20 is the tire size. A little bigger than 900's and and not as tall as the 1100's. They seem to have enough room between the doubles but I have not really loaded it yet. After the hub flip and single job I wont have that to worry about anyway.
You know where I can find a bow kit and a...
