PS Magazines: View Online, soon, I hope!

Thanks for the concern, I did get a bit off track for a while. I had some health issues a while back - heart attack & seven bypasses - followed up by some personal issues, then a computer crash, plus raising three teen age boys by myself since my wife passed. I still don't have a computer, using...

I've seen a few on removing markings from the body, this is the first I can recall on removing markings from a tarp. Looks like the suggestions are the same though.

Blaine - Is the truck in your avatar the one you won? The pic looks like the DRMO at Selfridge. What is the round green thing below your right hand headlamp?

    tire size = mph?

One thing to think about is your cruising RPM. On the Deuce the "sweet spot" is 2200 RPM. Better for engine longevity, fuel consumption and torque. A nice place to cruise if you can come up with the right combination of tires and gearing to get you there with the speed you want to cruise at.

    tire size = mph?

I don't notice that so much as I do see "Why do you want to do it YOUR way, MY way is a much better idea". That's because those of us with 20 million posts have seen the same questions answered over and over again. There are over 15,000 threads in the Deuce forum and nearly 3,000 threads in...

    winter rediness

Seen in a couple of other threads that mixing wmo and wvo is not a good idea, they might gell up when mixed, probably more so in cold temps. I'd put a posting in the alt fuels forum asking for input on this issue, maybe save yourself some trouble.

What priority should deuce modifications have?

The military split brake system uses two air packs, one in the original location and one on the passenger side. IIRC, one air pack powers the front brakes and the other powers the rear brakes.

    46in tire preference

What size are you talking about? Someone with some knowledge chime in here, I'm thinking these tires are too wide to run as duals, they are likely to rub on each other.

    M 218

Just for grins I did a search in LOGSA, nothing found. Makes me think its either very old, not U.S., or still classified!
