That changes things a bit. If you are relying simply on the instrumentation on generator and not a multimeter to verify. Never truely trust these until you have validated them with external device.
I recently bought a 1997 Raytheon Generator Trailer, which is based on 1101, for this this very purpose.
I hope my 788 fits it, but if not I'll just stick my 803 on it.
A S-250 will fit in 1102 with room to spare and then some. Here is one in 101A3 and 1102 is wider than it by 4" and that is overall box size as its fenders are all inside cargo area. S-788 will not fit in a cargo trailer, at least not 101 or 1101.
Wait until you put it back together and have to be a contortionist while standing on head while bending arm/wrist in four different directions simultaneously to try and get nut started. But its best to do load test first so you can bake cookies for kids as bribe to reach up in tight spaces...
In all seriousness, they are under rated so even at severe elevations they would likely be able to output name plate rating. IMO. My meter is nowhere near accurate. Thought about seeing if I could get one that reads correctly, then I though meh not important to me. Most time I know what load I...
I like to bake cookies while doing my load test, don't have to share with kids.:-P They just think boy daddy sure does love his generator. What the don't know wont hurt them.
My stove load bank will pull around 42fla at 1PF of resistive load which equates to around 54fla at .8PF 108ish% my 803's capacity. My overload will occasionally trip if I leave all burners and oven on high with door open. Still have not cleaned AM/VM switch. I like to set them at various temps...
Title 7-19-17
I had waited the 60 days to call, only to find out that I had missed a blank. Only took about 30 days to get after correction. I recommend calling in 30 days. DMV is going to put it to me, but I'll be street legal in my 5 ton grocery getter.
That is absolutely a true statement. If an A3 I would bet you would be able to purchase to flip and could potentially make enough to purchase cargo trailer with a little left over.
A drip leg and union like you are describing is a great idea. I have read threads about using a flexible exhaust section just so you don't pass vibration into full exhaust stack.
I would definitely exercise S8, however your trip could have just been induced by two HVAC compressors starting at same time or some other similar high inrush event. Locked rotor amps can really get you. My 8yo house HVAC unit would flicker the lights at my house and my 803 would struggle to...
With power off, take a multimeter and read continuity from ground to neutral at a 120vac recepticle. if you get 0 ohms then you are bonded in panel. You are likely bonded to neutral in RV box. Drive you ground rod for gen. if it is bonded use a four wire cable between gen and rv. That will...
Great idea. After looking at yours I may get one and use the contacts function as alarm contact to give audible alarm at high setpoint. Fleabay has multiple choices
I would keep whole run in 1 1/4" and insulate all the way to or nearly to end. If run is too long pipe will cool then form condensation which will then run down your pipe. Not good...
