Who makes the best hub boot?

I'll take pink polka dots with purple flames and spray paint them black if are known not to rip!

Who makes the best hub boot?

Who makes the most durable hub boot (not a zipper boot) for the 2.5T Rockwell, at this current time? I ask, because my last set came from a currently popular and more economical source, and I have had two fail on the driver side bottom while just daily driving. I'm pretty competent and sure I'm...

    Random Long Cranking to Start

My truck was off the road for about a year but now it's bobbed and I'm driving it a lot more. My fuel mix is pretty regular now: 25% waste cooking oil, 50% waste motor oil, and 25% gasoline, with it sitting to remove water and then filtering as previously described. The truck runs awesome once...

My Crew Cab 4x4 Deuce Build

Yup, it would of been cool to have a crew cab, but would have challenged my fabrication skills and definitely kept me off the road until some time in 2015. I'm glad I compromised and built the truck as it is, because I'm driving it more than ever and it is a blast. One guy who rents from me...

My Crew Cab 4x4 Deuce Build

This turned into just another bobber build, but man is this thing a lot more fun to drive now. Anyone have suggestions for how to mount two fuel cans on the outside of the M105 bed?

Brake shoe adjustment driving me crazy

I fiddled around with it for awhile today and figured out it was the adjustment of the forward shoe. The rear shoe was the one giving me the trouble so I was surprised it wasn't the real issue. I had the forward one backed all the way up and as soon as I brought it 0.010" from the drum...

Brake shoe adjustment driving me crazy

I put new shoes on the rear axle of my deuce because the old ones got saturated with gear oil. I followed the TM and the drive side is perfect but the passenger side is driving me crazy! I can't get the shoes on that side to pull in enough so that they're not rubbing the drum and causing a TON...

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Ok, I see what you're saying. I'm not looking to do anything like that but I did see that there was some meat I could trim off the ribs under the center of the bed if it came down to a half an inch. I guess I'll see what I need to do once I get the bed on. Just waiting on the u-bolts and...

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

    Can you elaborate on that?

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Understood, but does the M105 frame mounted to the frame interfere with running duals? It looked like the bed floor at the fender well inner edge would contact the inner tire.

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Also, with the M105 bed mounted to my frame with just a 1/4 rubber spacer, can I run duals without flipping the hubs? Can I run duals WITH the hubs flipped or will they stick out like crazy?

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Found some 3-3/8" cast iron lift blocks on craigslist this morning and picked them up and installed them. Should be good to go now.

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Today I finished bolting in the rear crossmember and I drilled the holes for the air lines and tail lights. I sat the bed on the frame on some 4x4" cribbing to see how much the springs would compress. The frame at the front by the winch is 38.5" high to the top. The frame at the very back...

Rear Axle Lift Blocks for a Bobber

Almost done building my bobber and I had some questions about the rear axle lift blocks for the M105 suspension bolted to the frame. First, I'm sure aluminum is a no-go with the weight we're dealing with, but is cast iron ok? It doesn't need to be billet steel or cast steel? In particular, are...
