One thing you don't want to forget if you add a trailer and any additional weight
within will also be added to your total weight of your trucks weight class.
Several people I know have B plates on their trucks, and if you get caught with
a trailer and lets say a bobcat in tow- a lot of police...
As far as additional weight on the front axle- I was going to weld a bracket to the front winch bracket- aprox 2 to 3 inches on both sides ( out side of frame) and
weld up a predetermined length of pipe with a plate welded to the bottom.
And with the additional weight off of the front of t he...
I had picked up the electric crane at a auction, the data and manufacturing
information was missing when I obtained it- so its been a hit and a miss on certain aspects of the unit.
A SS Member called me and asked about the front bars coming from the front bumper
and I tried to explain what I had configured utilizing the front winch as a jane crane.
I guess pictures are a thousand words.
As I was looking for some function- it brought me back a couple of years ago when I was really involved with off roading - the design of the rack was placed in a area
high enough that it wouldn't be in the way of clearing a path- and pushing down any
bushes in the way- it still is much higher...

I have checked the past threads on this but couldn't find anything that would meet
the functional and practical application that I was looking for- so I decided to take a stab at it - and this is what I came up with.
Thanks again Poof- had a great time - the pig was great - real nice seeing some the local talent again,
and meeting a few new people and just having a good time.
Next time I'll remember to bring my window ice scraper to clean the ice off the windows.
Loosen up the assembly- detach from inner fender well - attach hose assembly to solenoid -
tighten and place assembly back into holes, some times its the only way-
Picked up one of my trucks- that was on display at a Wounded Hero fund raiser in Mt. Prospect
Ill. that was onsite for a couple of days- on display for a local bar that was donating all of the proceeds from the event- for a great cause. The event was over the week end and raised alot of money...
Installed a 2nd fuel tank on one of my trucks, reran the the hand brake cable to accommodate the fuel tank and the mounting and welding of same, working on the electronic crossover switch and fuel lines for same.
So many projects and no time and limited $$$ to do what needs to be done - and
the...
I have used 24 to 12 volt converters on several of my trucks, rated at 25 amps - for all the lights
and 12 volt power accessories for several years now- just got tired of replacing batteries.
Memphis Equipment was the company that I had purchased them from and have no problems with the charging...
It was one of those weekend projects that keeps me out of the house and at the shop- doing
what I like to do, making stuff functional and usable, so many projects and not enough time or money.
