M1037 rear spring change? Any advice or parts list?

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?158875-Putting-my-M998-back-to-a-M1025/page2&highlight= This was my old Hmmwv. I swapped out the M998 springs for the 10300lb springs. I didn't change the lower control arms. The reason I did not use the variable rate springs is I didn't like the way...

M1037 rear spring change? Any advice or parts list?

The variable rates don't fit the older style lower control arms very well. So what are you trying to do? Are you looking for a softer ride? I assume wanting to go with M998 springs that's what you're going for. A M998 is a 7700lbs chassis your M1037 is a 8660lbs chassis. The higher the weight...

M1037 rear spring change? Any advice or parts list?

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?158875-Putting-my-M998-back-to-a-M1025/page2&highlight= Post #19 I did the opposite of what you want to do. I took out the M998 springs and put heavier springs in. If you have the cast upper spring mounts you would have to change them to the stamped...

Detroit Locker install in GM 14-bolt w/ pix

Your DRW axle might be a Dana 70 if it came from a DRW pick up. That's what I put in mine. http://www.billavista.com/Tech/Articles/14-Bolt_Bible/index.html

    Lifting a M1031

Yeah I'm 6'2" and it to tall for me but I wanted a tall tire so I can go 60 at around 2400 rpm.

    Lifting a M1031

I agree with Recovery on the shackle flip. This truck really will never see off road. Unfortunately I will lose the locker for now. The 14 bolt locker wont work in the Dana 70. The SRW hubs on the DRW axle will make it 77" wide perfect for the Hmmwv wheels.

    Lifting a M1031

Spent the day swapping in a Dana 70 dually rear axle and a 4" lift. Still need to add the 14 bolt SRW rear hubs to the rear Dana 70 and add the dually hubs to the front Dana 60. I also need to install the crossover steering, steering box brace, braided brake lines and rear disc brakes.

XB-70 Valkyrie - Mach 3+ Bomber (North American)

They used a copy of that in the movie Fire Fox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_(film) The film was based on the creation of a "mythical" super fighter: the MiG-31 Firefox. The original Firefox from the novel was, cosmetically, nearly identical to the MiG-25.[4] The more intimidating...

    M939 LWS Install Question

If you find a factory nut strip or make them grind the corners off and grind off any extra material to the nuts on both ends. Not much room to get these in and taking off that little bit really helps.
