You’re sure it’s running and not just spinning? Mine spins but isn’t under load. Sounds like afterburners when it kicks in. I thought I read somewhere that if the valve was bypassed or bad it would remain ‘on’ all the time but I’ll search for that. Was one of those random read the forums...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Just for fun because we shoot movies here. Whipped this up in 10 mins with crap in the shop to kill a few mins waiting for a client. It would actually pass as a background vehicle on film haha. Don’t roast me too bad.......

    CUCV gun trucks?

I believe you’re correct and the term GUN TRUCK is being misused. Now armour a deuce with quad-50’s..... that’s a gun truck. Strike vehicle would be more appropriate I still think the stripped down m998 was picked over the m1009 because of cool factor. They were both relatively new...

    CUCV gun trucks?

Pre-exoskeleton frame Post exoskeleton top off turret on I get a kick out of people saying that a cucv has no armour and they’d never be used. Personally I’d use either [emoji6]

    CUCV gun trucks?

HMMWV GMV is a gun mounted vehicle that is often stripped down with little to no armour, just sayin. I’d say it was more about timing. SF had top pick and why would you pick a CUCV when you could pick a humvee? (Similar mfg dates for 1009’s and M998’s so both were available at the same...

HMMWV Fan Clutch Demons - Please Advise

I’ll share this just because, - I had a hydroboost fail on my 97 dodge 1ton that caused other issues. Brakes worked but it caused the steering system to fail. I threw power steering pump at the wrong problem and wasted a lot of time and money. I gave up and let a shop test it all and when they...

You’ve ruled out the QD fittings for sure? I read about and have had QD’s go bad on hydraulics before. Seems like a strange situation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did! Most of you won’t ship to Canukistan lol. I live close to the border. It’s easier to use my US address - usually cheaper because international shipping is ridiculous “How long were you in the United States for?” 10 min “what were you doing?” Picking up parts - US made parts NAFTA and...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Already ordered an OEM replacement complete bottle/pump unit. If it lasts several years like the one I yanked I’m happy. I won’t be running the corrosive/methanol garbage in it - I make my own blue fluid. I like to support American and Canadian when I can

Installed a new EESS / TSU yesterday and figured out why my washer fluid kept sneaking away. Yes that’s my kitchen sink. No it’s not repairable.
