    72 M35A2 Recovery

A lot of stuff can be wrong and still be drivable for the deuce. Go over it carefully. If it runs well, has no major leaks, good brakes and tires, good oil pressure etc - 3K or less from the looks of it seems fair to me. Servicing it sounds like a good idea if the seller hasn't. Don't forget...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

I had a trailer cross the highway in front of me, from the other side, and come to rest against the guardrail. That guy was really lucky. It looked like he had the wrong size ball and no safety chains.

    Safe road speed & licensing?

The DMV around here never seems to have the correct answers. I would always go to a state highway post or similar place and get your answers from the guys who give the tickets.

    Took my deuce across America

I'd say your trip went well. Staying off the highway is the way to go. How does Okracoke look now- a-days? I haven't been there in probably 18 years.

Does this color look good on a MV?

I used rustoleum camo on mine and they turned out fairly dark. Seems to hold up well so far.

My First Deuce Arrived (Long post with Pics)

Welcome, nice looking truck. I'd say the paint job looks to be authentic military grade. I'd do a filter and fluid change as its probably the same one its had since 1997. Do it yourself as it will help familiarize your new truck.

    Poor mans WMO filter setup.

Is there a maximum recommended amount of oil for each filter? I would think you would want to do 40 - 50 gallons per filter to make it worth it. What about anti- freeze or water contamination?

what should i do. drive or haul it.

As others have stated - if you decide to drive it be prepared and you will have a much nicer trip. Read the recovery threads so you know what to look for and what to bring. Use your common sense. If your used to old trucks or tractors with manual shift and no power steering you will do fine. It...
