Uh, I just developed this drain problem. The truck does have a solargizer and I was wondering the same thing. Would a poor connection between the batteries result in a drain also. I thought maybee the batteries were bad so I put two brand new batteries in and overnight the truck wouldn't start...
I bought 3 from GL and drove them 500 miles home. All had bad batteries. They did appear to have been recently serviced though with clean fluids at the proper levels. All stated they had been driven on to the lot. Condition codes were E7, F7 and B4. The E7 is the nicest overall body and mech...
I've procrastinated on this same project now for months. I'll have to look into the new horn kits and replace the whole thing while I'm at it. I don't really miss having a horn much is part of the problem. I don't think I've used a horn on any car in traffic for years.
Looks like you even got a fuel can on there. It appears things were added and not taken off - thats a good sign. Congratulations and good luck with it.
Best advice I got is read the Tech manuals, threads, conversations on said vehicle- get to know what to look for and what you want - then check classifieds; GL; CL; EBay ect. Till you find it. Good Luck.

Don't be afraid of the insurance company. Have the truck professionally checked out and fix what got damaged. Insurance people aren't always knowledgable and typically will try to do as little as possible - in my experience.
I bought two that had the built covers. Its not a stable structure that can be removed. Lots and lots and lots of screws and a few bolts tying the corrugated metal to plywood to the bows and troop seats with a generous amount of caulk tying it all to the truck bed. I was unable to save the...
Some of the advantages of living on a gravel road with a gravel drive. All I got to do is scrape it once in a while. I'm always careful on other peoples asphalt drives. Stay away from the edge. I have not had a problem on concrete drives with a 23K truckon 6 tires in 12 years. Deuce has not been...
I have only been using my deuce trucks for about a year now but I'm happy with them. Biggest problems I've had is compatability and turning. I plan to put a dump mechanism on one or just buy a 5 ton dump. The drop side is definately handy. I will replace another bed with a dropside if I come...
An interesting read posted by stumps. A comprehensive look at the various additives and what they do and don't do. Well worth reading if you plan on using any.
