    buying my first deuce

If they are willing to sell it - see if they will let you start it up. Check all the fluids ect. first. Windows probably just need lubrication. Price will depend on what it needs - brakes, electrical - other working parts. Good luck.

    Ft McCoy

I got all three of my trucks from Ft. McCoy. All three are pretty nice in my opinion and they all drove home. Mike the GL guy is a good guy to deal with. I think a lot of their trucks are driven in and not forklifted around like some others. Good luck in your quest.

You can bring it back - but its going to be a labor of love. You can buy something in better shape and spend less overall. Its definately worth it if you enjoy the process.:)

    Bad Paint job

Its going to be difficult to get it even when you are painting one color with spray cans. Its a lot easier if you go with a camo pattern. If you want it to look really good, I'd use on of the regular auto type spray guns. Another thing to consider - if you buy the paint - you can probably get a...

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

You need to stick a flag or something on that so you know its still there. I found the m105 trailer does make a nice work bench and area to hold food when cooking out.

Deuce vs. Pine Tree or not?

Soaking is a good idea. I'd also cut the tree off at 8 feet or so above ground so you don't risk pulling it over on yourself. Most roots on all trees are located in the first 18 to 20 inches of soil. If you cut or break those it will go over. Good luck and be carefull.

Deuce vs. Pine Tree or not?

I say try it. I've taken some out before by bumping them with my skidsteer until the roots start to break. Mostly shallow rooted trees. Be sure to take some pics or video for all to enjoy.

    Why Dead Batteries?

I didn't do a volt test on the new batteries. I just installed them and then flipped the accesary switch on and judging by the buzzer loudness I determined them to be fully charged.:-) The battery to battery connection appeared to be snug on one of the posts but was not. But would that drain a...
