    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

The Dorman number you gave are the same ones I got for my 84 M1008. They work for me, at the point where they touch, I cut some rubber tubing, and placed them around the lines. No problem. Had them in through two winters 3 summers. Good luck

    Snorkel idea

Bro, lots of people think that a snorkel is for,"just" water. My main reason for a snorkel was for heavy particulates in ambient air. CUCV where not made to ford past specs. Granted, a lift, taller tires would help greatly, but caution is well advised! See my pics on my snorkel setup, on the cheap!

    Snorkel idea

Looks good, real good. People laughed at me for putting a snorkel on my 08. My snorkel has a Donaldson Pre-Cleaner. Not just for water immersion?

1984 Chevy D30 What did I get myself into?

First and foremost good luck on your new/old purchase. Download all the TM's. I would never put ether down the throat of my truck, bad news. I'd put kerosene before I'd put ether. If you have running truck, do the mods, upgrade your fuel delivery system. Consider new GP's, plugs and type....

    Snorkel Yet Another

    Snorkel Yet Another

I agree, so we minimize the risks, just like going into a firefight, plenty of ammo, a sharp knife, some Ar 500, a plan, and a getaway plan ....I live by the coast, in the event of flooding, or a tidal surge, which is not uncommon, I know and pray I am that much more ready....really most of us...

    Snorkel Yet Another

Really lol! But think about it, a precleaner saves your primary filter, we plan for water....how about volcanic ash!? Heavy particles? If you haven't guessed it I am a prepper aka never know so OVER...

    Snorkel Yet Another

Thanks CUCVNUT, I did some reading before I installed the snorkel. Salinity of the water is important. I figure if the TM limit is 18 inches with 235/80/16 then with 315/75/16 and with a snorkel will get me fording with 3 feet of still water or slow moving water....better have and not need it...

    Snorkel Yet Another

Any ideas would be highly appreciated. Nothing special going electric fan, greasing the fuse box, don't want to go swimming just be able to go over the TM limit with confidence.

    Snorkel Yet Another

Yes I am, thanks for the interest. Not going swimming, but I figure if I do hit water, the I can go over the TM limit.

    Snorkel Yet Another

Had to get a snorkel, just had to. I pictured parts from Napa for the steel pipe only way to go in my mind. As opposed to pvc. For all the obvious reasons. Precleaner from Donaldson, used. $20.00. Pipes about $80.00 bucks my discount from Napa. Silicone reducer from Home Depot, Heater 3" hose...

Good luck bro. Concentrate on fuel delivery, fuel filter spin-on mod, tank cleanup, checking sender. This was my main problem. Coffin filter sucked, sender dirty. Good Luck

    Truck stuck. quick electrical question.

I opted to stay with the 24 volt system for the obvious reason, they, "GMC" made the the 24 volt starter, for a stronger start. And in the winter, I'd rather have the beefier 24 volt pushing the 6.2.
