    Filter after / before pump...

I'd leave the outlet of the filter assembly open, then supply 12 volts to the pump until the air is pumped out. I'd also put a clear piece of tubing at the short return line at the injection pump to help diagnose any air problems. With the clear line you'll be able to see if air, fuel or a...

    Filter after / before pump...

Just my opinion, but I'd relocate it for the reasons I stated before. The pump will last longer.

    Filter after / before pump...

The factory location for an electric pump used on a later model civilian truck would be on the frame just below the driver area. The closer to the fuel tank the better when using an electric pump. It's easier to push the fuel than to draw it from the tank.

    Filter after / before pump...

I'd put the filter after the pump, just like the factory did. Where did you install the pump?

    fuels

I add 2-stroke oil @ 200:1 ratio. I did this after reading the attached study. I used to use Power Service but now just the 2-stroke. According to the study, adding Marvel Mystery Oil to your fuel is actually worse than just using the baseline fuel alone.

I want to put a 4l60 in my m1009 need help

None, It was just GM's new transmission designation. The name change occurred in 1990, and in '93 the shift logic was changed from hydraulic to electronic, making it the 4L60E.

Scored used Gear Vendors O/D unit

The only thing that made me nervous was that every time I ever contacted Gear Vendors regarding a new unit, they got back to me right away. When I inquired about purchasing parts from them to make the used unit fit my truck, they still haven't replied. You have the advantage of taking it there...

Scored used Gear Vendors O/D unit

Is that the one from Victorville, CA? I was looking at that one myself. I contacted Gear Vendors as to what I'd need to put it in my M1008. They never replied, so I didn't bid. Good deal if it doesn't need much. Let us know how it works out. I gotta do something about the gear ratio on mine as well.

Part #'s for carriers for 373's

I know I have to replace the front and rear carriers if I change my gear ratio from 4.56 to 3.54 or 3.73. Does anyone know the part numbers of the carriers I need, or the best place to get them? Also, am I right in assuming all I need to change the ratio is the ring and pinion and carriers for...

Nice! At first I thought you just painted it, but at second glance, it looks like it's wet. In any case, looks good.

    Dura-Lube in a 6.2L Diesel

Just my opinion, but the only additives you need are already in good quality engine oil. Here's an article on engine oil additives including Dura-Lube: Technilube.com - Oil Additives
