    Starter nightmare please help!!

    My 1031 did the same thing , I had a bad starter relay (under dash) I just took it apart and cleaned it up , have not had that problem since. (I'm cheap I could have replaced it for under $25.00 but .....)

    I got all mine through NAPA they looked it up to make sure it was right size and I just painted it green to match the Military look lol.

    fuel tank has rust in it and filter drain / water drain leak (suck air) currently changing fuel filter about every 800-1000 miles, spin on cost $6.00 original 18 - 24 $. Spin no is easer to change also.

    I'm changing my fuel filter Assy to the spin on type, question I have is other than the water in fuel light do I need to worry about the other sensors and heater? I hope not but had to ask....

    My 1031 was bent with pass side dammage and fuel tank dammage. Just do not plan to drive them home when you pick them up lol

    The civiy model is differnt though and the military one is no longer avalable through GM You have to either fix your old one, find a good used or surplus new one , change it to a civy one or put in a push button one ...ect....

    I found mine in a salvage yard, matched size (within 1 in lenth ) and u-joints cost me about 3 +hrs time and 100.00 ish

    Sand color

    What is the correct sand color on the cucv, mine has 3 differnt sand colors and this summer I am going to repaint it and want it as close as possible to the correct color. I would rather camo it but wife said NO WAY to that so Ill just redo the sand again.

    CUCV brakes dragging....

    My 1031 brakes (front) drag some and the only thing that helps is I grease the rails (mounting ) for the calipers seems to stop it every time.
