    New guy from central Illinois

Updates Sorry I have not posted anything on my truck for a long time, although I have a thread over at M715 zone. I got a slow start. So far I have: Sold the old axles, transmission and transfer case. Purchased M1028 and pulled the axles (sold the rest) Rebuilt the CUCV axles and added rear...

    Latest build up m715

Bob, I saw on one of your previous trucks where you installed heat and A/C. What unit did you use and did it fit well? I have been looking at different companies, but really just starting. Thanks, and I wish I had a 4bt. I have to settle for the much cheaper SBC. Nice work.

    Chevy Engine Adapter/T-98 Trans

Bob, I called and left you a message. I shipped the axles this week so they are sold. I still have the adapter, clutch, and transmission available. I know you build converted M-715 wheels. I also have 5 wheels that are in great shape if you are interested. Thanks, Tim

Need help with m1008 - just purchased

Does the filter system also have a heater built in? There are two wires that were cut that look like they probably were hooked where the filter system mounted on the firewall.

Need help with m1008 - just purchased

In reading one of the other posts, it appears the fuel filter/heater that mounted on the firewall was removed. There are two wires that have been cut and I assume they went to the heater. The fuel lines were also cut. Is it best to replace this with a stock unit (it appears everything is...

Need help with m1008 - just purchased

I feel pretty stupid. I was working on taking axles out from under my M715, and took a couple of minutes to throw some different batteries in the M1008 to see if I could start it. My wife was assisting and said it was blowing coolant out of the hose. I did not have time to mess with it and...

Need help with m1008 - just purchased

I just purchased an m1008 at governent liquadator auction. It has 26,000 miles. When I got it, the negative battery cable was cut at both ends. I replaced it and put a couple of batteries in it. When I started crankimg the en gine, coolant was blowing out of a small hose that was cut off...

    New guy from central Illinois

Thanks for the welcome messages. I have been reading up quite a bit. While my son would like me to bob a deuce, there is no for a truck that big. I recently purchased my first military truck, an M715, It already had a small block Chevy swapped in. Just this week I purchased my first...

These are for an M715. I believe they are sold.

    Chevy Engine Adapter/T-98 Trans

May consider some parts in trade. I could use a straight set of front fenders and a hood black out light set up. I also need a divorced NP205 transfer case and some 16.5X10 or 12 8 lug chevy wheels. I prefer aluminum.

    Chevy Engine Adapter/T-98 Trans

I will take $400 for the adapters, all clutch parts and practically brand new T-98 transmission. That is the bottom dollar. Thanks for looking. Troop

Stock Axles w/ lockers & Selectro Hubs

Thanks. I just purchased an M1008 and I need to move these. I think I may have them sold.......I hope. First one with cash gets them. They are very clean and painted....not rusty. I also have fairly new Rancho shocks I will send with them.

    Chevy Engine Adapter/T-98 Trans

I thought about it, but the price seemed high. I have just purchased an M1008, and the plan is to take the drive train from it to place in my M715. There is just a little bit in me that does not want to tear the 1008 apart, even though I got it cheap and the body is rough...only 29k on the 1008.

    Purchasing M1008 at GL

I have been looking for the axles, but the few sets I have found have been priced high - my opinion. I thought if I could find a truck, I could take the parts I need, maybe sell a few, and scrap the rest.

    Purchasing M1008 at GL

Looks good. That sounds like a really good price. I have been following some others. Did you purchase this one on your first bidding attempt, or did you bid on several others?

    Purchasing M1008 at GL

My siuation is like Dune Diggers. I really don't want to tear up a good truck. I only want a good set of axles to swap under my M715. I have seen a few where engine and/or body parts are missing, but the axles are still under the truck, so I was hoping to get one of those. I appreciate the...

Thanks for the information. At this point, I am looking for mainly axles to put under my M715. The more I look at these though, I see another project.
