I took another look at those GUIDES this AM and I may have
been wrong in my assumption. I now think they may actually
mount Vertically and are to ease the transition from the
container flat on the ground to the bed tilted in such a manner
that the rollers actually touch the DECK and not the...
I will be backing mine into its hole today, if someone has time
please take a look at this PDF and try to determine just what
motor we have, if possible. This PDF may be one less we have to buy.
Rayzer,
It is a hair bigger than a 20' shipping container.
Julian,
You raise it to offload...
I just received my trailer yesterday, shipped to me to L A.
INCREDIBLE! These things are awesome. $77K the DOD paid for them!
I wrote Perkins and asked for all literature.
They may charge for it, I saw prices that might make it all $150.00.
If someone buys it all I would happily share $ if...
Matt! I think your spacer is there and installed!
That means your Transfer Case Cooling pump is disengaged
and not pumping TC oil thru the cooler and being in Aridzona
you may want to remove the spacer. But do your
homework... ( But I think I am right)
Read the TM I think it says to remove...
Old, please excuse me, I didn't see this till today.
OK here is the deal;
I received my truck and not knowing how a CAT 7155 is "SUPPOSED" to perform
I was unsure if my tranny was bad or not. I was pretty sure the clutches were bad
but I have never even seen a CAT 7115 let alone drive it and...
I finally found the answer to my own question regarding the
Transfer Case Cooler Pump (TCCP) and the mysterious "Spacer" the
TM poorly illustrates but indeed talks about and lists a part
number for.
The deal is, if you are in cold temperatures below "X" degrees
you are suppose to disengage...
They did an installation for me of a tranny I bought
on GL. I have learned that a lot of the "Big Box" types
of rental companies and Police heavy duty trucks and
school busses and garbage truck companies use this place.
Pleased I am.
I found an Allison Repair shop in SO Calf that I would run to
from now on if I needed a tranny rebuilt when u are ready. I am sure there
not into selling parts, just rebuilds and installs. They have guys
sending them transmissions from all over the country weekly
and they have a dyno.
PM me...
I recently had some work done to one of my trucks at a shop
I happened upon in SO Calif called Precision Allison Transmissions.
Old School kind-of folk...they have a dyno, they know these things
inside and out. Very pleased I am w/ the service.
They get trannys shipped in and out going to all...
Check the main battery cables from the battery's to the starter.
Do EVERYTHING it takes to make SURE the insulation has not
worn off someplace.
I MEAN LOOK AT EVER SQUARE INCH OF IT!
Juan the shipping code is right there on the link I supplied.
A&A is cool, lots of cool stuff. I have a box out back filled w/
many gusetts. There are great to have on hand for small welding jobs.
The selection is huge too!
Nope, reread it. Every single time it weighs 70 pounds it arrives like it was sent thru the mill, dropped, kicked rolled dirty destroyed.
yes, I AM SAYING Every single time they move a 70 pound package the destroy it.
A&A is my go to for small gussets and other fab goodies.
This week they have free USPS shipping and that is up
to 70 pounds I do believe. (Although the USPS is totally incapable
of shipping a 70 pound package w/ dropping it each and EVERY TIME
someone picks it up, unless they see you watching...
Are were sure it is the front diff? Would it be prudent to pull the
front driveshaft first and see what spins free and what does not
w/ the T/C in neutral?
There is a guy named Brad M. in McKenna WA that usually has 5 ton and 800
parts. I will ask if he wants his phone number posted, till then PM if in need.
There is a AWSOME Allison rebuild repair install shop in Upland California called
Precision Allison Transmissions. There are semis coming and going from
this place daily delivering and sending back Allison trannys. They have a
Dyno, the shop is immaculate and they are old school in workmanship...
Bravo! I have an M916 and someday I will have a front winch.
I can't do it yet but should you make the frame extension parts
available F/S I would be interested in what you have to say.
