Perhaps pump the system from a shop compressor so you are not combatting a noisey running engine... I added a Schrader valve via a 1/2" brass tee at a PRV I have at and above the frontmost rear axle, DS, it is before the desicant air dryer. Have you tried shutting down the primary and or...

This was some time ago. I was all scaredie kat about my truck not starting. It sat there for 2 months w/o being started. When I arrived and it was covered w/ snow and ice. I gave it a 4 second squirt of ether up top, said a prayer and hit the go buttons. It fired up almost like it was 100...
Both the Low Air Warning SWITCHES are close to each other on the passenger side. From the bottom switch follow the wire to the frame, maybe 7" long wire. I can only tell you what I did and grounding the cab to frame and the bed to frame and pulling 6-7 other grounds on the truck and cleaning all...
Man........................This was tough. All my pleas for help didn't fall on deaf ears I am sure, but indeed my issue "was" a SOB to diagnosis and even a pro would have a hard time helping me from just a forum. I want to share w/ you what I did to finally get my Failsafe Warning Control...
NHC-250 COMPRESSORS;
The military compressor is a #4311, I am told the civilian replacement is a #4409. I am told the #4409 has a duty enhanced clutch on it. If I wanted a compressor today to match the NHC-250 bracket this is what I would look for. I see one on ebay now. I might suggest that...
A good way to find leaks is to pressurize the system w/ your shop compressor and then listen for leaks w/o the engine running. Yes, be SURE the spring brake override switch is in the NORMAL position. There is another device that diverts air to the main system at about 60-65 PSI. As soon as you...
IMO everyone whom buys these trucks and dislikes the hard shifting, usually shifting from a higher range to a lower, (not TC shifting, tranny only) with 2nd to 1st the most notable in the hard shifting, I am of the opinion you should connect a like truck w/ a tow bar and pull it up and down...
Here is a pic of the power steering pressure line that is 3" longer then stock. I also extended the 1/2" ID return hose, I did not measure its additional length, I just bought a 3' section and connected it at the bottom w/ 2 clamps where they like to leak and laid it parallel to the pressure...
I HIGHLY recommend that all that need vehicles moved from BARSTOW to (insert destination here ) that all contact Robert Winston. You MUST tell him BRAD DAVIS sent you to get his ear. His prices are right and he can move anything. Call 760-774-7543 .
I have extended both my power steering pump lines. I took the pressure line and had it duplicated but extended 3" . I bought a 3' section of 1/2" ID return hose I have yet to replace as well. I also pulled the 1" spacers on the rubber fender well brackets I added, the jury is still out on my...
For hardware I might suggest two ½ x1-1/4" bolts with lock washers and one 5/8x1-1/2" bolt with a lock washer. The tightener, maybe a 3/8" bolt w/ 2 heavy washers and a nyloc nut. Do your do-diligence.
