need help figuring out how to re-route air supply lines

Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the tanks mounted. I installed them under the truck between the frame rails. I made a rack for them to sit in, then bolted them between the frame rails and did the plumbing. I would take pictures, but it has been raining here like an SOB for the past few...

need help figuring out how to re-route air supply lines

I fitted two 42 gallon waste water tanks under the M109 without moving anything. There is tons of room under there. No need to move the air tanks. But if you still want to move them, depending on your design, then I don't see an issue. Just move the tanks to the new location then run the new...

    Alternator problems?...try this

Darn, I wish I knew about this before. When I picked up my M109, the generator/alternator was blown. You could see the burned out wiring inside. I had to get it rebuilt by a company here in town for the low price of $600. I will know who to call if I need a replacement on the M109 in the future.

    Canadian Deuce Availability ???

Like Numbers stated, no one in the US has them (as far as I know). They were only made for the Canadian M35 (MLVW) by a company here in Canada. You have to come up here to buy them. Shipping is possible, but you are in PA, so it would probably be cheaper to come up and get them yourself. A...

Was told to get "back-up" lights, so,,,,,,

You can also buy a regular license plate light that lets you change out the bulb. Just put a 24v bulb into it and you can wire it up to the rear lights. I wired mine to the clearance/running light circuit with a 24v bulb, so that when I turn on the truck lights, the license plate light comes on...

Was told to get "back-up" lights, so,,,,,,

Looks good. I had to install a back-up light for one of my jeeps to pass inspection. I installed the exact same light. Works well. I was able to get away with not putting one on the deuce because I was able to convince the guy that they never came with them, so I shouldn't have to install one...

Deuce + Shelter = Camper RV

I actually found his site well after designing my truck, but it is neat to look at anyways. His trailer is probably worth more than my house. MAXIMOG Trailer

just got my m1008 camper done

Maybe put a small awning over the porch area. Great place to sit and have a beer, though I would suggest you don't sit there and drink while the truck/trailer is in motion, lol. Looks good. We need interior pictures.

    Mystery handle

I don't need any "special handle", I have a special switch instead ;)

Looking To Buy MKT-85 Feild Kitchen

Any body got pics of an M109 with Super Singles(395/85R20 preferably)

Yup it is worth the upgrade to super singles. I am not a fan of the very wide singles that some people have, but it is fast/easy mod that pretty much anyone can do in their driveway on the weekend. I love them on my M109 and I think it was worth the time and money to do.

Looking To Buy MKT-85 Feild Kitchen

We got a MKT-90 here. They are nice trailers, but it can be hit and miss what you get in them. Ours is 99.9% complete, and came with a ton of extra juice and water containers. But I have heard of some people getting them with a lot of parts missing. If possible, get a look inside before buying...

How do you drain the air tanks?

Yeah these type are made to be pulled from the side, as pretty much all air tanks are mounted in such a way these days that you would pull it from the side. Though I am sure you could modify it if you needed to pull the cable straight down.

How do you drain the air tanks?

I took some pictures of my install. New kit works great. I sent the pull ropes through the pioneer kit rack. It holds them really well, and keeps them at easy reach.

How do you drain the air tanks?

I found the exact same valve kit at my local large truck dealer (International Trucks). I bought them for $7 each and they come with a 6ft cable you can cut to the length you need. No modifications needed. Just remove the old ones and screw on the new valves. The old valves on my truck were so...

driving with one wheel/tire/axle off the ground

Thanks. It was a fun project. Did some camping with it this weekend and it worked out great. Though while it worked out well, I couldn't see myself living out of the truck full time. A couple weeks, maybe a month, yes. But it could get cramped pretty darn fast if living out of it for a very long...

driving with one wheel/tire/axle off the ground

I would be really interested in hearing what you have planned for your M109 conversion. I could see living in the M109 for a couple of weeks at most, but a few years? You must have really come up with a interesting setup to be able to make use of all the available space in the back of the truck...

Canadian M35 cab roof rack pics

The "make your own" rack is not as nice as the factory made ones for the MLVW's, but they still work very well and fit perfectly on a US M35. Instructions are well made and you shouldn't have any problems if you follow them.
