This leads me to believe your brakes have been caged in the past for whatever reason. You can get the cage bolts at NAPA or Fleet Pride. I think they are fairly standard but you might try to get an original to be sure. The dust covers may also be standard but again "trust but verify".

If they are 800 series axles you won't have a brake issue (800 series were air over hydraulic). You might need a bigger (5 ton) master cylinder. You will have an issue with the extra weight of the 5 ton axles and tires. The multi-fuel is not going to like it. You may also have an issue...

It looks like it has been run hard and put up wet. My first thought is how many times those axles have been under water. Prob needs a complete service. I'd trade my M1009 for a deuce in a heartbeat.

I think 13'6" is the maximum legal height in most states. You may have an issue with DOT and low bridges.
