Weren't required in CA to register - the DMV inspector used the frame VIN number. I just thought new looked better I guess. I'm not really doing a restoration.

In CA now you get the same old cans but a worthless no spill, non working (almost) nozzle. I just bought the nozzles I needed off of eBay and was good to go.

    My M105 is a temp M103

Good thing about the west coast is all the sunshine. Erik's has the wheel cylinders for 33 dollars. Too bad it takes four of them. If I can't find rebuild kits I might go that way. They actually just look gunked up. No rust or pitting. Once I get everything cleaned up I'll know more.

    My M105 is a temp M103

The "cups" (or pistons as they taught us in the Navy) are two piece. Haven't seen any like that before. I'll see what the Napa guy says.

    My M105 is a temp M103

The wheel cylinder off my M105 is smaller than the deuce wheel cylinders. It has a part number of Wagner FD10122 on it. I pulled up one thread from 2006 where someone was searching that part number, but no conclusion. I guess I'll take it to NAPA and see what they say.

    My M105 is a temp M103

I have everything apart and these wheel cylinders don't seem to be the same as a deuce. Where do I find rebuild kits or new wheel cylinders????

How do I remove a M109 Van Body?

You're not "dropping" 4000 pounds. It slides back, tips so the rear it on the ground holding some weight and then when it runs out of frame rail, the last section falls to earth. Remove the tail lights like TMAmerica suggested - the oak will probably catch one. The bumperettes can stay in...

How do I remove a M109 Van Body?

Use search: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/34668-m109-box-removal-4.html Tie it off and drive away. I had a VERY tight spot to drop mine off in and the only spot to tie off to was the hitch my brand new pick up just a few feet away. Went nearly flawless. The only problem was the oak...

    My M105 is a temp M103

There is so much wrong with the parking brakes and the service brakes of my M105 that we just pulled the bed to get at everything easier. Came off easily with a highlift jack and four saw horses. I've tried searching but does anyone know the size or have a source for M105 wheel cylinders or kits?

I beg to differ - now that it is tagged as a SNCO's truck it "feels" like I have double the horepower, triple the mileage and a smoother ride. :driver: If nothing else, getting beer at the package store with it just got a lot easier.

MVDATAPLATES isn't selling anything I need yet. Each time I call he says to try back in a month. I have had the deuce out the last two weekends on trips - two weeks ago it was up in the mountains to Scout camp towing the Boy Scout Trailer. Once there I noticed that drop hitch angle was off...
