    M936 Front Winch Issues

One of our fellow members from "Down Under" (raeme) called me the other day and told me about an issue with the fair lead rollers cracking when winding in the winch cable under load....if you have any 5 ton with a winch you should clean the crud off the rollers and check for cracks.

    Medical "Study" on diesel exhaust

At some point in time common sense must prevail. The EPA has done more to destroy small business in this country than any economic downturn ever did. Unfunded Federal mandates should be against the law. Until the states take a stand against big federal gooberment intrusion we are at the mercy...

M916A1 winch operation while in gear?

I drove a M916 for two years at Fort Benning.......to the best of my memory we never used the winch with the vehicle in motion. Since the winch is operated from a platform on the rear it would be difficult for the driver to operate the vehicle and winch at the same time.

    Tank From Outter Space

It may have been used on a range to tow targets.....when I was at Benning they had a remote controlled M60 that pulled targets on the TOW range......no turret on it either and it had extra armor on the side that faced the firing line....just in case somebody fired at the wrong vehicle. The...

    M932A1 Question

Unless you want it to stick way out over the rear you might want to take the spare tire rack off and move the exhaust. That would put the bed a foot or so closer to the cab.

    M923A2... Common Issues/Review

The short answer is no.....the 1100x20's were tube type tires mounted on the two piece split ring rims. IMHO the CTIS system was designed by an idiot after consulting with a group of morons.....way too complicated for a military vehicle and prone to leakage at every fitting. It makes changing...

    Bumber steps

Many of them were made locally and added to trucks as an "Authorized Field Modification" but later there was a add on step available that could be ordered through PLL channels. There should be someone on here that can find the FSN for the kit......it was probably featured in PM Magazine which...
