    M915 opinions wanted

I have owned three M915's and will be buying one or more in the next few weeks. I sold my last one to a guy that bought my first one (through a third party). He owns a seed farm and thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. He pulls hopper bottom trailers and occasionally a dry...

    Civy Trailer, MV Tractor?

Usually a civiy trailer can be pulled by any military tractor without any issues other than the light hookup. Many of the older military trailers had the kingpin set at an odd distance from the front of the trailer and most twin screw civy tractors can hook to them but can't make a sharp turn...

    Finally got an MKT-75A

SCSG-G4 is the MKT guru here......PM him if you need stuff....he has a lot of the manuals on digits and will load them on a thumbdrive if you send him one. We have set up one and cooked out of it for the last three years at the GA Rally. Possum stuffed with rice is a delicacy.

    New Score!! Stackable Army Cots!!

I still have two of the Korean War litters (they were new in the crate) that I was selling at the GA Rally. I'll be bringing them to the MVPA meet at the Battleship Mobile at the end of March. They do fit between the rails of a M105 trailer.

    M915 Cargo conversion

I have a dropside bed that I would like to mount on a removable frame so I could put it on the back of my next M915. I also have some big hydrolic cylinders laying around that might make it into a dumper. It would ride high since I plan to keep the 5th wheel on it but as heavy as the truck is I...

Anybody else get PP Service from Aberdeen

Just another reason for having a big regional show in the southeast. I'm thinking Columbus, GA since Fort Benning and the new Infantry Museum are there. A big show would bring a lot of money into any venue it was held at. I would think several cities would be interested in hosting such an event.

My axle fell off on the way home!

Frog......I go up to Redstone quite a bit to preview and pick up stuff for myself and other folks. There are diamonds in the rough in amongst all the beaters that Uncle sends out the door. Last week a HEMMT sold out of Fort Jackson for 29K......it had 2000 miles on it. My last M915 had 11K...

    Jiffy Lube As a Source....NOT!

If there is a local BUY/Sell publication in your area you can advertise to haul it off free or pay a small amount per gallon. Even if you are paying a buck a gallon that's still cheaper than diesel.

Question about local zoning law in FL for Deuce Parking

I would go to the code office with a picture of the deuce and explain that you are a hobbyist/collector and ask for a definative answer. Best to get it from the horses mouth.

5 ton FT Knox to TN.

Find a local truck broker and see if he can find you a local truck coming back from up that way. Some guys will haul cheap just to keep from deadheading back. You will have to make sure the truck is a step deck and has ramps that will hold the 5 ton. You also need to make sure that the...

Military Tractor going up for auction

I bought my last M915 for about $4,200.00 after GL's fee and tax.....cost me another 400 to fix the fuel and electrical issues (minor). The ones last week at Fort Jackson, SC went for around 5 each.....prices fluctuate depending on how many go on the block at one place at one time. I would...

    Note on windshield

One of my deuces was in a movie (low budget). I drove it and my son was an extra. Get your money up front and make sure they sign a contract that covers any damage they cause. Don't let anyone else drive it (unless you know and trust them).

    M1101

Might have to be blocked and braced if the trailer is a little wide. Once it is scotched in you can use hooks and turnbuckles to secure it.

    Flighting 5 ton

The truck would have made it through fine if they had put it in Low Range, high gear. I would have Article 15'd the snot out of that young soldier and if the truck had been damaged he would have signed a Statement of Charges.
