    Welding Safety

I do quite a bit of MIG and stick welding and oxy/acty cutting......I always have a fan blowing the fumes away.....galvanized fumes will make you very sick.

    Check your credit card!!

This seems to be a recurring issue. Someone at GL may be stealing numbers rather than an outside source hacking into the system. I would do a live chat with one of the ladies out there and have them run it to ground.

    Howdy from Arkansas

Bit of machochist are ya???? Which CUCV are you looking at?? Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy. :cookoo: The CUCV's and their breathern are notorious for electrical gremlins......I drove them in the Army and my opinion of them has not improved. But this hobby is all about...

Wreckerman's Wood Fired Waste Oil Heater and Possum Parcher

Josh.....that was my concern when I saw the water heater at the yard sale...the guy that had it was a buddy of mine, I asked why he was selling it and if it leaked. He said the high price of propane and a rebate from the electric co-op made him decide to replace it. It was the last gas appliance...

Wreckerman's Wood Fired Waste Oil Heater and Possum Parcher

I don't plan on getting it real hot....prob around 150 degrees.....just warm enough to make it flow through the filters easily. The oil is still black after it comes out of the centrifuge...I am told you can get it to an amber color if you run it a long time.....it's cleaned to 10 microns when...

Wreckerman's Wood Fired Waste Oil Heater and Possum Parcher

Back in my "Survivalist" days I read MEN, SOF, SWAT and I was a frequent contributor to American Survival Guide before it was sold off to a major media company tha let it wither and die. Unfortunantly fewer younger people are reading paper publications anymore. I recently talked to Jim...

    Trailer decoupling problem

If the trailer is loaded you need to crank the legs down to where they take pressure off the 5th wheel ( there is a LOW and HIGH gear for the landing gear)......if it is empty you can just lower it until the legs make good contact and slide right out from under it.

    another cat 7155 question

Sometimes if you are having shifting issues you can put the tranny in neutral and let the air build up as high as it will go (around 120 PSI) and then push the valve in on the tranny...if there is crud in there the extra air pressure will blow it out....used to work for me. Lots of times an...

Which is the Hardest Bolt or Nut to remove from the Deuce?

Any one you can't get to with an air ratchet/impact wrench and can only get 1/8 of a turn on with a box end wrench that you have had to cut down to get into the tight space that was designed by an idiot after consulting with a moron.:cookoo:

    Bay Minette, Al...wanting a deuce

Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo: There are a lot of good folks in your neck of the woods that will help you get familiar with the deuce. They are a lot of fun but you must have the willingness to do the maintainence on them to keep them running and safe. Right now purchase...

Wreckerman's Wood Fired Waste Oil Heater and Possum Parcher
